They should do Psyduck, Snorlax, Magikarp as starters for Pokemon and Pokemon
I think Psyduck & Munchlax were starters in Mystery Dungeon at one point.. If Magikarp ever becomes a random starter I'll harder than I did when I found a Lvl 100 one in Platinum!!

Yeah, the Elite 4 on SS/HG/G/S/C were way to under-leveled.. Great games, but just way too easy in the end.
Now I have upper level 40s and no where to train but all the kanto gym leaders are like 50+. This is obnoxious, highest wild pokemon I can find is like 32. so many battles.

Kanto shouldn't give you too much trouble if you have a decent party of 5/6 even at those levels.
