Re: Official Pokemon Discussion Thread!
I used a defensive Umbreon on my last Crystal file. It's a decent Pokemon. Ran a toxic stalling Umbreon with rest.

Heracross usually uses Scarf & Hitmontop normally goes Bulky, so only Heracross will cause issues. And on that note, who on earth keeps an Umbreon in against either of these two. I would have it paired with a Gyarados/Dragonite/Latias and got the free Dragon Dance off and stated to destroy.
(Umbreon also has Rest, which could be paired with an Aromatherapy Blissey/Celebi.)

I'm just saying it wouldn't be as much of a successful wall as he's expecting it to be.
Also, Hitmonlee definitely beats Gyarados and has an outside shot at Dragonite.

Re: Official Pokemon Discussion Thread!
Cba to do the calculations, but I don't think Hitmonlee can OHKO Multiscale Dragonite since it only has Stone Edge. (I don't even think it does half damage if Scarfed because of the lack of STAB.) I'm pretty sure that Gyarados can take a hit, but I severely doubt that it could last 2 turns. Also, most Hitmonlees are Scarfed, which means that you'd have to make sure that you didn't get locked into Hi-Jump Kick, which would end up gifting the opponent another Dragon Dance.. At which point it becomes Game/Set/Match..
I know that Umbreon isn't the best Wall (Lugia takes that by a looooooong ass way!) but given the right support, it can hold its own with the best of 'em.

Re: Official Pokemon Discussion Thread!
I like Leafeon, where's my green rep? Lol. I actually like all of the Eevee evolutions and I'm excited about a new **rumored** Eevee evolution in Pokemon X and Y.

It's either tied with Espeon or better, can't remember who tops who.

If rumors are to be believed, it is going to be a Flying Type.

Nah, I run Unburden/FakeOut/NormalGem Hitmonlee, one of the most underused sets I can find out there given how brilliant it is. Gyarados will definitely go down. Fake out takes the Multiscale hit so stone edge is full power. Will be a close one on dragonite.
