But the games were always lacking. They had potential but they were too fucking hard or complicated. DigiVolution was beyond retarded in Digimon World 2, the card game's final battle gave me nightmares (fucking cheat), and Digimon 3 had too many fucking evolutions, DNA shit, too hard, and everything
Pokemon's beauty is in it's simplicity. Personally what i hated most about Digimon was that i couldnt turn my MetalGreymon into WarGreyMon just because i didnt level it up slowly or something. Like what the fuck?

My favorite season was Digimon Tamers (Season 3); it was very different from the first two and the story showed greater depth. It featured more humanity among Digimons, as they are not simply "talking monsters" like I had known before. Beelzemon and Impmon stole the fuckin show!
The problem why your MetalGreymon won't evolve is because you need to devolve it once more back to Rookie level, and train it all over again! I know, it's hassle but your Rookie will have stronger techniques.
I was a Pokemaniac back in 2006-2009 when my bro re-introduced me to Pokemon. Sure, I knew it way back in the 90's but I somehow became a "true fan" as I grew older. When I started playing Emerald in my bro's PC for the first 3 hours, there was no turning back and I just couldn't stop thinking about Pokemon!
Well of course, Pokemania for me ended in 2009 when I returned to the RPG genre.
And if I were to pick my favorite Pokemon, it would be Wingull.
He's my first ever Pokeball catch. Pelipper remained very useful until the Major 4. He was always part of my party.
Also, he was the first Water/Flying Type Pokemon to come out so he was very unique at the time.
