Only use repels if I need to get to a pokecenter, and even then, I never buy any. I never buy anything until the elite 4 beyond a couple pokeballs.

I had a lot of shinies before on Diamond, 30 or so, I went on boards for trading and EV-Training Pokemons, so, I got some good deals. And I had a friend who cloned my shinies, so that I could trade it for new ones.

My first shiny was.. well, I saw a Starly in the beginning of the game, when you have no Poke Balls. The frustration..

has anyone actually been affected by level limitations they put on the badges?

for me only traded pokemon i use stop listening to me past the level of the badge

I never use traded pokemon, so never had the problem. Maybe when I was like 12 back in the R/B days, before even yellow.

Nice, I'm trying to work out a team around my shiny Garchomp, Dragonite, Tyranitar, and ???. Need some special hitters to round it out, and it should be good.

Okay, my love for Pokemon has been resurrected because of this thread. Been looking up the pokemon that came out after Crystal and I'm interested. Sadly, I'll have to wait until my B-day for a DS due to no money. (that's the latest one right? I had a GB Color with Pikachu and Pichu on it, so I have no clue about handhelds after that)
