Games that I loved but cannot PHTSICALLY play anymore (sold, broken, just gone...):

Skyrim (PS3)
Borderlands 2 (glitched)
Starcraft 2 (lost the disc, lol)
Goldeneye (64. The new one is updated and I prefer that)
Pokemon Silver (because I play Soul Silver on DS! swerve!)

Persona 4: 110 hours put into that game and levels dont carry over to New Game +. I just dont want to level grind again.

Call of Duty 4: Its broken now. Too many hackers on Xbox as well as too many creepers. I don't even plug in my mic unless playing with real life friends, these days.

The Walking Dead: I actually might have one more play-through to see how the story works out if I wasn't such an ass to everyone in the game. i know what happens, therefore the tense moments just wont be as tense.

Final Fantasy 7: I've never beat it, but I downloaded it on my Vita and I just cant passed the square hands and ridiculous character movements in the cut scenes. When I played it originally, I had a lot of fun with it. It was one of the first games I got with my PSone, but then FF8 came out and I just moved on to Squall's story.

Halo Reach: Used to play the online a lot with an ex-boyfriend. Just too many bad memories for me with the Halo franchise as a whole. Every time I played the game my mind wanders and I begin to cry. Needless to say, we've sold all the Halo games in this house. My partner is more of a Gears fan anyhow.

Sonic: I used to play the game non-stop on my Sega Genesis. I tried to play the Genesis Collection on my PS3 and I just felt old. Too much stuff was happening on the screen.

Batman: Arkham City - After beating the story mode and finding all the Riddler trophies, I'm not done when it comes to finding the rest of the secrets in the game, but I really don't feel like completing all of the challenge maps four times in a row with Batman, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing. It seems way too repetitive.

Driver: Parallel Lines - I've beaten it a couple times and don't want to even touch it anymore because of some of the extras in Driv3r, like infinite mass mode in Istanbul, along with all the interesting glitches that the game has. It's too bad Parallel Lines doesn't have anything like that, otherwise I'd give it more than a passing glance.

Left 4 Dead 2 - Nowadays, when I try to play the game, I feel like the challenge has been amped up way too much, even on Normal difficulty. I remember how I was able to get past the zombies on the last part of the fourth chapter in Dark Carnival a few years back, but now, the AI Director spawns way too many Hunters whenever you're trying to get to the safehouse there, so you'll never make it.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - I really do love the game, but after spending eight days in a row trying to beat the game after it launched, and finally doing it, I just don't feel like touching it ever again. I don't why I feel like this, because every now and again I alternate between beating the GameCube and Wii versions of Twilight Princess and never get tired of doing it.

Pokemon Colosseum - I like Colosseum more than XD, but I've beaten it so many times that I don't feel like playing it anymore. XD, on the other hand, I will play because I haven't beaten it nearly as many times as I beat Colosseum.

Wild Arms for me. Loved that game on PS1, but now, the battles are just awful. They feel incredibly dated.

Final Fantasy 8, 7, 10 - 8 is my all time favorite game, and also the first FF that I ever played. 7 and 10 are close. Nothing has since been able to live up to the emotional value that these games made me feel, but sadly they just doesn't make me feel that way anymore. It's not like I don't have the time or energy, but it's like now I play them they're just slow. I panned 13's auto-battle feature when I first played it, but now I kind of appreciate it, storywise though it has nothin' on those 3.

All Devil May Cry games - Absolutely hated 2 and 4, but did spend a lot of hours playing both of them. 3 is my favourite, but 1 was great too, there's nothin' wrong with them but just can't get myself to bother with these goddamn half-assed puzzles anymore, I know all games are repetitive but DMC games feel much more repetitive than others, which is a formula that used to be quite ok with me.....

Metal Gear Solid 1 & 2: Just can't bring myself to play them. In 2 there were a lot of bits I didn't like, such as the bits with the IR sensors, and the story almost never goes how you want it to (Just DIE Vamp! DIE!!), but 1 I dunno it's a classic but meh.....
I agree with your picks for FF titles. Those 3 were my favorites too. Like exactly those 3. I'd probably rank them in order of: 7 > 10 > 8. But still all 3 > every other one. I didn't like 13 though. Got bored about 5% into it. Gave up for months, pushed through to about 20%, gave up again since got bored. Snowe was the only thing really keeping me interested at all. One of the better FF characters imo.

I also agree about MGS1 being a great game, but really hard to go back to now. It's just a lot worse. . .though they did remake it on the MGS2 engine.

Speaking of which, if you need an excuse to go back and play MGS2. . .get MGS2 Substance. It had a FUCKTON of VR missions. They're fun too, and some are really elaborate and challenging. There's also challenge missions called, "Snake Tales", where there's fake stories where Snake has to go through the Oil Containment Facility and eventually take out a boss like FatMan, on Very Hard mode. It's challenging but fun.

I gotta say I have never loved a game, only to decide it is garbage after playing it for 40 hours, that's a fairly long time.

World of Warcraft. Had my fun with it, but I'm done with it for good. Too much damn time spent playing it for 6 years.

Wild Arms was my best friend's favorite game when we were in high school, I got into it a little bit but mostly just watched him play, it had a great story and some really fun bits, Ragu Ragulah, Boomerang Flash, Mother's laugh.......good times.

I'll have to try those VR Missions, I recently bought the HD collection on PS3, and am presently playing Snake-Eater, after I finish it I will give the VR missions a go. I agree with you about 13, the funny thing is I borrowed it from my friend in 2011, played 3 hrs of it and got bored, it wasn't until nearly the end of 2012 where I finally just decided I wanna see what happens.........you ain't missin' much, for the largest part of the game it's completely linear, the story isn't all that special, then you see the final boss and start laughing hysterically.....the entire bit with the final boss has what is in my opinion the worst dialogue I've ever seen in a video game.

Felt that MAG was a really underrated shooter, that tried to promote teamwork as much as possible, rather than just the common, clichéd super-soldier formula. But alas, as of about a few months ago, the servers have turned to dogshit.

As well as that, I used to love the shit out of Tekken, but after playing Tekken 6, I had just gone too long without it, and my interest had already departed.
