You guys fucking nailed this out of the park again. Thank you everyone for voting!

I know some people like to think 2012 wasn't a very good year, but after seeing all the votes for your favorite games, I'd like to think this is proof 2012 was pretty damn good. 2012 looks to be the year of the Indie Game or Downloadable Game. With so many games being offered at $60, its a fresh of breath air to find so many games that are on par quality-wise or quantity-wise for just a fraction of the price. So its great we got games like Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2, or Assassin's Creed 3, but we should be thankful we got games like The Walking Dead, Fez, Journey, Hotline Miami and many many more.

For the Special Achievement Awards, each voter was given one vote worth 1 point. For the Genre Awards and Platform Awards, voters were given 3 votes per category. A first place vote was worth 5 points, second place vote was worth 3 points, and a 3rd place vote was worth 1. The Game of the Year Award allowed for 5 votes, 10 points for first place, 7 points for second, 5 points for third, 3 points for fourth, and 1 point for 5th.

I loved Borderlands 2 and never got to beat it because of unfixed glitches. I also started playing the Walking dead today and really like it; I barely voted it though.

I won't lie, the lack of love for Tribes: Ascend saddened me a bit. To me it's not only my favorite multiplayer game of the year, but one of the most underrated and overlooked. (maybe it's because i've been a fan since Starsiege: Tribes)

Kudos on putting all this together Sephiroth. All in all some terrific games were nominated.

Also, I was the only one to vote Mass Effect 3 for most overrated? Really?

In any event, while I am disappointed it made the top 5, I'm glad it was beat out by Halo 4(and The Walking Dead, but that was obviously happening).
