Re: What's your favourite game?
It was TimeSplitters: Future Perfect for a while, before the online servers were shut down.
So that's my 2nd favorite now.

Probably Metroid Prime.

I'm not gonna pretend that it's not an awesome game, it rules, just like they all do. Hell, 1 is the game that made URDNOT WREX my favourite character in the series, but I'd take the other 2 any day of the week, especially 2. You wouldn't BELIEVE how hooked I got on 2 when it came out, and how long I stayed absolutely addicted even months after the fact and going into the previous year. It had to be seen to be believed. Usually I just play a game once or twice and then largely forget about it, unless it's a wrestling game or something else with replay value, pick it up every now and then and have a go, but not this. I was like a baby begging for breast milk.

You know, I think there may be something wrong with me. I had no problem with the Mako whatsoever honestly, it was actually kind of fun driving it at parts.
As for ME3, it was fun to play as a third person shooter game of course, but almost a year after I got it first day I can safely say that it fails on many levels as a game and that it's problems go much deeper than the pathetic ending.

I see where you are coming, but for me, I put 1 over 3 any day. I hated that there wasn't a final boss battle in ME3. The mission quest lines were messed. No Krogan teammate. Some love interests felt skimped out on. The original ending sucked balls. Who the fuck thought multiplayer was a good idea?
But I agree with you on 2, it is the best one. I must played that game about seven times at least. And it was the first one to introduced me to the series. So this definitely holds a special place for me.
Other games would be Rayman Origins, Zone of the Enders 2, Darkstalkers 3, Bayonetta

The original ending? The extended cut did literally nothing to improve the horrible ending, or the horrible plot.

It's hard to pick between Ratchet And Clank: Up your Arsenal and Burnout 3: Takedown for me. Both are probably the funnest games you can play.

Yeah, the extended cut did nothing but fix like two or three plot holes. I agree that it's still terrible, but ME fans seem to think that extended cut made the ending better. It's the one of the reasons, if not the main reason, I haven't gone back and played ME3.

I didn't like the Mako either, but ME1 > ME3 on any day. ME3 is the only ME game that I only played through once, tried another playthrough but got bored, like you said, it just fails on many levels.

Re: What's your favourite game?
I thought ME1 was much better than ME2. In fact, I didn't enjoy ME2 at all. I also enjoyed roving around in the Mako in ME1 and exploring uncharted planets with it. I am yet to play ME3.
Anyway, my favourite game is either Gods on the Commodore Amiga, a game which I consider to be the best platformer of all time;
or, Planescape: Torment on the PC, which I consider to be the best RPG of all time;
or, Thief 2: The Metal Age, also on the PC, which I feel is the best first person sneaker of all time.
