Default PS3 exclusives question

Lately I've been thinking about buying a PS3 (a used one) with some money I've saved up from my salary but I'd only use it for the exclusives and I've been checking out the prices lately of the ones I'm interested in and while they're affordable, I want to spend my money wisely. The first Uncharted and first Infamous games are the first ones I'll buy since they are like 15 dollars each, but the other ones I'd buy are like double and I'm really low on cash so I plan on buying these in every 1-2 months since I need money for other things too. I just want some information on some of the exlusives to know if they're worthy of their price or should I wait or search for even cheaper deals. I'd like the know the length and the replayability (some information on why is it worth replaying would be appreciated as well) of these exclusives I'm interested in:

Heavy Rain
God of War 3
Ico & Shadow of the Colossus
Killzone 3
Resistance 3
LittleBigPlanet 2

I know there are many other well praised exclusives like Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, Disgaea and a lot of JRPGs, but these don't interest me. The other Infamous game and the rest of the Uncharted games I'll buy somewhere down the line, but as of now, I'd only like some information on the length and replayability of the games I listed.NOTE: I don't care about multiplayer, that's why I'm a bit worried about the FPSs.

Green rep for anyone who has a useful comment.

I highly suggest God of war. it's one of the greatest games i've ever played. Good storyline, great gameplay, great graphics too. Concerning the length it's about 15 hours. If you like badass characters and epic fight scenes, it's your game.

I also suggest Heavy rain. It's gonna be a unique experience, trust me! it's a strange game. It's a lil bit like a movie. the outcome of every situation depends on your choices. and the game has many ends, so you replay the game so many times after finshing it. during the game, great music that fits the environement of the game. the story of the game is sad and a lil bit dark, but enjoyable experience.

Lentgh: very long game

The rest of the list is a load of crap imo

I also suggest metal gear. My favorite game of all times!

Hope it helped you
Enjoy yourself

Heavy Rain: I loved this game and was totally into it. Then the ending came. IMO, without spoiling anything, one of the worst endings in recent video game history. To me it killed any replay value. But the expierence until then was awesome. Plus, if you are able to look past this horrible ending this game actually has a lot of replay value. Depending on how you play there are 18 (I think) different ways to play/end the game (the bad core elements stay the same tough).

God of War 3: I was not a fan of the intro, but the game itself was great, really enjoyed it. If you get into the story it is quite controversial, but there is no need to do so if you don't want to and you just can kill, slay and butcher your way through the game too. In case you don't know: all other 4 GOW games are available for the PS3 aswell.

Shadow of the Colossus: a absolute classic. Some call it boring, some say they were upset by it (because of the main character's motives) I thought it was something different and enjoyed it a lot.

Killzone3/Resistance3: I played both games and got the platinum trophies, but I am not too much into FPS and did not think either game was that good. There were interesting sequences in both games, but yeah whatever. If you are interested in FPS these may be something for you, but there are tons of other games I enjoyed more. Also, as you mentioned, both games have a rather short single player campaign.

Little Big Planet 2: didn't play this one. I played the first one for a little bit, but couldn't get into it.

There were times you could get Infamous 1 for free. As kind of a bonus for other deals. You may want to check out the offerings in the PSN store, maybe there is something interesting for you.

Thanks. I played through the first God of War on the PS2 like 3-4 years back, loved it. Metal Gear games aren't my style, not a fan of stealth.

Could you give me an estimate of the lengths of these games (in hours)?

Not very long, but you can play through it a few times if you like it. I myself only played it through once, and while it was a nice distraction it's nothing special. 7-10 hours.

Only worth playing through once. The first few hours of the game are stunning. After that it becomes a little more tedious and completing it ends up being more of a chore than a want. 8-12 hours

Depending on if you're interested in the multiplayer or not, this is probably your safest bet. I found the campaign throwaway, but it was engaging and the multiplayer is fantastic. 7 hour campaign + infinate multiplayer.

If you're not a creative person, dont bother. I myself rate this as the best game on the PS3 and probably this gen. I loved creating and playing other people's levels. Longevity wise, it has the potential to be many months if not years. There literally is endless content. Potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay is there if you are creative, if not, dont bother with the game.

Can't tell exactly. I am a trophy hunter so I know how long I needed to get the platinum, but not for just a single playthrough. It obviously depends on how you play aswell; rushing through or searching for every collectible. These are guesses for a single campaign playthrough:
Heavy rain ~10hours
GOW 3 ~10hours
FPS blur together for me probably both around 5-7 hours each

I can't remember how long Shadow of the Colossus took me. Never got the platinum trophy, but statistics say you need 6 playthroughs and you'll need 40-60 hours. So my guess would be you need around 12 hours for your first playthrough. But as I said I played it quite some time ago and never got the platinum for this one.
