Im glad its unrelated. I had downloaded Far Cry 2 for free and even have the game for my 360 before and just couldnt get into it. Always looked beautiful though. With everything ive seen from 3 I should be able to get into it easy.

Good to hear, that probably means I'll pick it up some time after christmas. I'd love to get into the other Farcry games but my backlog of games feels to big at the moment.

2 was great, except you had malaria which would knock you out and make you respawn in a church if you didn't take your pills often enough. then you had to go get pills which was a pain since the maps (2 areas 1/3 of the game through) were huge. As well as all enemy guns you picked up jammed like a mother fucker.
#3, no malaria, hopefully gun jamming is gone. what is nice about Farcry is the whole placing tnt on the road, waiting for some trucks to pass over it, blowing it up around the middle of the convoy, then killing the guy on the turret in the last truck, taking that position and mowing down everyone; if not for diamonds then just for fun.
I've never played the Far Cry games but I've been meaning to play them for a while now, maybe this will finally kick my ass into gear to getting around to playing them
You aren't missing much with the first one. It started cool, then these Quake reject enemies randomly appear, and it made no sense at all. Had more fun with the 2nd game, better flow and less fruity. It's on steam for $6.69 actually. Grab that.
