Re: Hitman: Absolution discussion
Well then. Prologue was bleh, and the couple missions since somewhat underwhelming. Experience so far overly cinematic and feels 2012 man. Trying to hold off using the word disappointing. Did I just? Feels as if they fixed and improved all the wrong aspects.
Buuuuut. Haven't exactly made much progress yet as far as the personal story goes. Hope it picks up. Perhaps some CONTRACTS MODE will bring the fun.
Also, I heard every time you use Instinct to locate anything, a basket of kittens lights on fire. Never again.

Re: Hitman: Absolution discussion
I just got the game in the mail, has anyone else played it? Going to try it out in a few hours or so

Same here I'm always 50/50 with Hitman games. I've been looking forward to this one for awhile but had a feeling it would let me down. I downloaded it and will try and find the time to play it, if I like it I'll go and fork out the cash but I have an odd feeling it's going to be either very average or just not for me.

Re: Hitman: Absolution discussion
Played the prologue and did a few of the featured contracts, seems really fun. I've read complaints though like disguises are too easy to get caught in, don't know if that's on higher difficulties or on every difficulty, though. I'm playing on normal, if I really enjoy this game I'll probably do a second playthrough on hard. Contracts looked pretty fun, shame you couldn't pick to mark Lol.

Re: Hitman: Absolution discussion
Been playin this lately. Right now I'm the #6 richest Assassin in the United States in Contracts mode. Not too far off top 3 tbh.
Anyone having much fun with this game? Imo, it's a lot better than Dishonored. I was very disappointed in that game after the novelty of the Blink spell wore off.
My main issue with Hitman so far is that I hate the Splinter Cell/Metal Gear-like filler missions where you have to sneak through areas littered with guards and have no targets to deal with. Those feel like a dumb side chore you have to play through to get back to the actual game of assassinating people. I can understand it in some cases (like how Hitman: Contracts starts and ends, it's like a cool scenerio), but they do it every single mission at least once, if not 2-3 times.

You can when you create contracts. You walk around, can mark targets, and choose how you want people to have to kill them to complete the contract.
As for disguises. . .well, only people with the same disguise as you can "see through it", plus you have to make sure you aren't tresspassing or doing something dumb like walk around waving a gun as you move, or have a big fire axe in your hands. . .or be dragging a body.

Re: Hitman: Absolution discussion
To me the biggest selling point of this game is the Contracts mode. Once I finished the main story, which I did enjoy, I spent hours creating contracts for my friends to do. Even one of my friends spends more time on contracts than actually playing the main game. Brilliant stuff!

I forgot to say "civilians" for some reason lol, it's a shame you can't mark civilians.

You can :P Just has to be certain ones. Like, you can't mark the filler type people in crowds because they never move. You can mark the chinatown vendors, or maids, or um, lots of people really.
I'm pretty sure you can mark everyone who's not part of a generic crowd. Or just about everyone, haven't tried every level or anything to be able to say "everyone" for sure. :X
I like to kill the stoners during that weed bust mission.

Re: Hitman: Absolution discussion
Yeah that's what I meant, the generic civilians. It would add alot of targets, although it would be alot harder to get htem.

Re: Hitman: Absolution discussion
I'm kinda surprised that only a few people are writing in this thread, I would've thought this game would be more popular around here. Planning to try it out after I finish AC3 and BO2, still not 100% convinced that I'll like the game.
