The cinematic for the good ending, while short was a beautiful piece of video and well wrote.

Amen. I had to force myself to play the game more after the first 3-4 levels. Such a lame game. The second one was a lot better, it had a lot more enemy variety and you were a lot more badass with that big drill which you could use to smack your enemies.

Bioshock was splendid, just not the bestest ever. It promised you the stars, and then just gave you a really bitchin' telescope. It's great and all, but not quite what you expected.

Another great one is Left 4 Dead 1... great characters and campaigns, fun game play.

Re: Best first person shooters you've ever played?
I never really played a great many FPS games until this console generation. The only FPS games I played before this console generation were Star Wars: Battlefront (which was more of a TPS for me since I mainly played it as a Third-Person Shooter), Perfect Dark, Doom 64, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Unreal Championship 2: The Liandri Conflict, and Medal of Honor: Frontline (for which I was just curious). It wasn't really until 2007 that I began playing FPS games, since Gears of War (which was a TPS) more or less opened me to the Shooter genre.
Since 2007, I've played a slew of FPS games, but the one I probably had the most fun with in the current generation was Unreal Tournament 3, followed by either Star Wars: Battlefront or Perfect Dark in the previous generations. I played Bioshock, but was not as big on it as I wanted it to be. I loved the premise, but the gameplay left a lot to be desired.

What's wrong with Allied Assault? Love that game.
Along with Counter-Strike 1.5, it's the best FPS evar.
Same old, really. Goldeneye, UT03, Half-life 1 & 2, Duke 3D, Perfect Dark.. All good.

Re: Best first person shooters you've ever played?
Half Life 2/Counterstrike are probably the best technically but the First Metroid prime is probably my favorite. Love that game so much.
XIII was a boss game that few people seems to have played. HANK MOODY as a secret agent with Adam West as his boss in an awesome cell shaded comic inspired enviroment. More please.
