Wii U Launch. Are U ready?

The Wii U launches in North America this Sunday, November 18th. Two versions are available.



The Basic model will retail at $300. It will be white. It comes with one Wii U gamepad, 8GB memory and all your basic cables.



The Deluxe model will retail at $350. It will be black. It comes with one Wii U gamepad, 32GB memory, stands for the console and controller and a copy of Nintendo Land.

The launch titles for the Wii U are

Pikmin 3, Baynetta 2 and Rayman Legends all loom on the near horizon too. Strong launch window. Besides Wii U games, the Wii U is backwards compatible with all Wii games and with the Wii remote and nunchuck. There will also be a Wii U Pro Controller similar to the one for the Wii except being more XBOX like. I already have mine pre ordered and I'm picking it up this Sunday.

Don't really care too much about most of the launch games. I already had my fill of New Super Mario Bros with the 3DS version, I already have Warriors Orochi 3, and Tekken, ACIII, Darksiders II, Epic Mickey 2, Batman: Arkham City, and COD: Black Ops 2 are already available for other systems. None of the other titles (besides maybe Rayman) actually interest me. I will wait... a very, very long time to buy this system. Not even Bayonetta 2 will make me buy one. A HD Legend Of Zelda might, though.

Yeah, Mario has my interest, and Zombi U looks interesting, but most of those games are already out, and thus, irrelevant. Who wants Mass Effect 3 for the Wii? Anyone who played the first 2, got it already. Terrible game toe release for the system.

If Sony and Microsoft have a next gen Call of Duty ready at launch for the Ps4/Xbox 720 next fall, Nintendo is in a lot of trouble, because Sony and Microsoft will sell a lot of fucking systems and Nintendos mere year of the masses not having their next gen systems, is not enough.

I'm extremely excited for the Wii U. Hell, I've been excited for the system since it was introduced back at E3 2011. :D

I have the Basic Set pre-ordered along with Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, Lego City: Undercover (which probably won't come out until December), New Super Mario Bros. U, and ZombiU. I might also buy Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for it as well, along with a white Pro Controller and a Write & Protect pack so the screen on my GamePad doesn't get damaged.

My body is ready.

I'm getting Zombie U with my Deluxe package. Maybe Mario Bros. Pikmin 3 and Monster Hunter are already bought when they come out. Plus, The Last Story and Xenoblade Chronicles as backwards compatible Wii games.

My wallet is ready.

Nintendo Europe/UK should be sacked. Seriously outside of forums such as this one I've heard next to nothing about the Wii U.

I won't be getting it but I'm still pretty pissed that I won't be able to play Rayman Legends on my 360 when it comes out.
