Buy the Saints Row Double pack. That gets you both 1 and 2. I loved all the games in the series, but Saints Row 2 is my favorite overall. The games are a little different, but the gameplay is about the same, so if you enjoyed the open world and 3rd person controls, you'll enjoy the first two games.

I saw my buddy playing SR3 this weekend. There was something about a jumping out of a plane, the plane trying to ram the player and his girlfriend, shooting through the window, killing everyone inside the plane and then jumping back out to catch the girlfriend he dropped so he could shoot through the window or something completely over the top like that, and I think it might have been the beginning of the game. Looked like good fun. I'll probably pick it up when its cheap.

Can someone explain briefly what made Saints Row 2 so good? I skipped it, don't know why, but how much like GTA was that game? Was it more like SR1 or SR3?
