Dead Island Riptide Release Date Announced

Deep Silver has announced that Dead Island Riptide will hit stores on April 23rd in North America and April 26th internationally for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. At launch, the game will receive a Special Edition with “tempting extras in your survival arsenal” including exclusive weapon mods, a digital strategy map and a unique character skin. The Special Edition will be limited and sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

According to Deep Silver, Dead Island Riptide adds “additional gameplay mechanics, all-new gorgeous locales to explore, more types of zombies to provide constant threats, an additional character class and the best co-operative zombie action experience in gaming.” Riptide will be available at a discount and Deep Silver is seeking fan feedback regarding a possible Collector’s Edition.

First game was great and this is coming out discounted..hoping that isnt because they didnt make the game considerably better. Only weakness off the top of my head was the characters not playing so different. All felt the same with tiny tweaks. Oh and fucking Infected take them out the game :frustrate lol

Im sure the game will look just as good though, first one was gorgeous.

Dont think theres an official thread for Riptide or if one is needed yet but heres some gameplay :mark:

Last game I loved(except for the Infected typed:side:) but played no Co op at all. Actually hoping to play alot of 4 player Co op this time around.

Those fuckers who run at you screaming really pissed me off lol, couldnt wait 'till i had some decent upgraded weapons,

Really looking forward to the sequel, definate purchase for me...

Dear god probably the worse technical game in history gets a sequel, maybe they should hire testers this time and make the survival game they originally set out to do rather than ripping off borderlands.

I do agree that the trailer for the original game and the actual game were...........different lol, i have noticed with the sequel they have released gameplay footage from the off it seems.
