Anyone else feel the countering and combat system is harder this game? In AC2, Brotherhood or Rev you could easily battle large groups of enemies but now it feels a little dodgy, counters aren't as polished to pull off and the stupid muskets everyone uses are hard to defend against.

the combat was fine on the old games, they tried to fix something that wasn't broken and actually made it worse.

Most people thought (and still do) combats were too easy so they made things harder... kinda. I realized just in the end of the game I still had the ability to disarm/counter ...

I died a lot more in 3 than in any previous AC games. Well, being killed by enemies.

Yeah, that happened to me too. I like it, combat vs huge groups in 2/brotherhood/rev was far too easy. It might be a bit less refined now, but at least it's challenging sometimes.

I think it's on par with the rest. pretty much just different placement of buttons.

also, I'm sailing to Chesapeake bay to get into a fort to kill Lee. Is that the final mission, because the naval part is glitching on me and I can't move in the water (on multiple reloads).

This isn't just the worse assassins creed game ever, this is fucking fail from Ubisoft. The Splinter cell'd it.

While I don't think this is the worse AC game, because unlike Revelations this one didn't felt like a rushed game that was only a cash grab. But this game lacked too many things to be awesome as it could've been. I felt kinda disappointed after finishing it, it fell out of my top 5 games of 2012 list after I beat it. None of the characters were interesting, that was the biggest downfall for me. I fell in love with Ezio after playing as him only 5 minutes in AC2, Connor I never liked and by the end of the game I actually hated him, I would've rather had Haytham kill him, at least he had some kind of charisma. I had enough of the AC series, Ubisoft really fucked it up.

I honestly think Revelations kicks the absolute shit out of ACIII. By a lot too. Revelations was great.

I thought about this for a while, and this is quite literally the most disappointing game in my entire life. It took the title from Cosmic Carnage for the 32x. I was more let down by this game, considering the hype and enjoyment of previous games.

There are numerous glitches and irritating aspects of this game that people have listed. I think one of the worst is when you are completing a mission near the Frontier or Homestead and they decide to START YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKING RIVER to reach the new mission.

Your options are

A) Foot it around the water
B) Swim, more slowly across the water

It's a retarded waste of fucking time, and I'd damn near rather spend my afternoon dropping pencils in the asscrack of fat guys in a convenience store, bending over the ice cream cooler, trying to reach the last Half Baked flavored Ben & Jerry's ice cream. I mean, did they test the game at all? So someone actually thought "Yeah, people will love hoofing it through 2 feet of snow at a slow pace to reach the next mission, it'll give em a chance to kill a beaver. Let's leave that in!"

Fucking dumb. People can dislike Revelations all they want but that game kills this game for three reasons

A) Ezio is in Revelations, and not in ACIII
B) No shitty wilderness (in excess)
C) Ezio knows how to fight, Connor seems to forget how. In the middle of a battle.

If they do anymore Assasin Creed games (and they will) they need to do more hidden blades to people, and less buck knives into beavers. I get they were trying to make the game "new and different" but it didn't work entirely first time around.

Re: ASS CREED III - October 30th, 2012....Bye Ezio :'(

There is very little to do in the Frontier or Homestead unless you choose to, and Fast travel will make pretty much any journey under 500m.

I haven't noticed most glitches, I had one small problem with a homestead mission where you herd pigs but aside from that it's been smooth.

I also reallly liked the hunting aspect, I've spent a lot of time being happily distracted by elks and beavers.

Revelations however felt VERY rushed, the setting was rather boring and I didn't care at all about the character I was killing.
