Re: ASS CREED III - October 30th, 2012....Bye Ezio :'(
92% Completed already..
Not a huge fan of Connor at all.. Was the same with Ezio at first though, but I had 3 games for him to grow on me. Desmond's missions weren't the best, although I did enjoy the return to Abstergo. I was almost as happy killing Vidic as I was killing Udina in ME3 which takes some doing!
Naval Missions were great fun, but there were nowhere near enough.. I hope they bring out more in a DLC.
Peg Legs Trinkets weren't too fun to find as a lot were on ground level or in easy to access locations which kinda took the fun out of collecting them.
Didn't really feel the need to get any of the Libertation Missions done until I completed the game which was a little disappointing. Exact same with the Homestead Missions. Weren't really needed. Still aren't to be honest. Only real benefit is the larger Quivers as I do a lot of hunting.
Never really find a use for Bait or Snares since Arrows and the Hidden Blade are so much quicker and easier to get the kills with especially in areas with lots of climbable trees. Hunting is great though. Only problem being is that I can hardly find any bears..
Great game though, just not really much to do outside of the Main Story..

For me it's the one where you see the enemy lined up shooting at you and the troops, and you have to get behind them to attack a Templar; you're not even allowed to storm into the front for fuck sakes. They are right there but you can't, it sucks, it's what you had been waiting for the entire game (the trailer even shows you fighting in an epic battle).

tbh while I prefer AC Brotherhood for Rome and how much variety there was and ACII for it's length of story mode, this is still a great game once you finish Seq 5 it all opens up like an AC game should, the world is huge, Boston is a great city haven't seen New York yet but I assume it'll be even better.

I am relieved to here this, I have just finished sequence 5 and so far the game has felt like an interactive movie in places, Ubisoft seem to have gone out of their way to make some parts really boring.

Checked out Angry Joe's almost half hour review of the game and I'm quite disappointed of the things I heard/saw. The game has really nothing appealing about it.

Jeez. I'm only at 52%. There are a lot of side missions and collectables to do, but none of them really seem worthwhile.
How do Almanacs/Trinkets/Homesteads actually help?

That was pretty easy to me just snuck around through the grass jumped out of a tree onto the flag pole and right ontop of him.

95% now
Homesteads build a small village/community of outcasts with certain helpful professions. (Doctors, Blacksmiths, Miners etc) As you do the missions for them they level up which allows you to get different materials and craft new/better stuff.
After you collect the set of 4 Almanacs you get the recipe to craft one of Benjamin Franklin's inventions.
Trinkets give you missions where you hunt down the treasure of Captain Kidd.
There's also 'Frontiersmen' Missions where you basically debunk Myths around the area.
None really help too much to be honest.. After you do all the Homesteads you can buy the new materials and trade to get profit, but it's not really too necessary.

Now playing Sequence 10 and found my first Bugs in the Game; before I didn't have any!
I find all the Sidequest quite entertaining, just with my Homestead I'm not advancing. Can't find the People to come to my Homestead!

This game just got a whole lot better with the inclusion of naval missions.

I didn't mean it was difficult, I just found it frustrating because the enemies were right there, I wanted to just charge like a mad man into the crowd and have an epic battle but nope, the game doesn't allow you.
Edit: Does anyone else fucking hate how enemies have guns with unlimited ammo, then when you pick up their gun you always have just one bullet? And when you're being chased and you climb a building all of a sudden they can shoot crazy fast, they suddenly don't go through the long reload time anymore? It's retarded.
