You're probably right, I was just a fan of that board game story mode Lol
I'll be gameflying this sometime, but not for awhile. Too many other games on my backlog (007 Legends, Sleeping Dogs, WWE 13, AC3, Borderlands 2, etc)

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
The positive thing towards DBZ though is that it won't get outdated. It's not like new characters will be introduced to the series, or a new show will be starting. Though I always wished a new show happened that was the continuation of DBZ(to replace DBGT).
It's just sad how the makers of the show dont realize just how popular the new series would be. You're retaining some fans through the video game series(I think the last DBZ game sold about 1M copies?), you got new generation of fans to target, and many older generation of fans would watch it too. Shows like Futurama,Family Guy have been brought back due to popularity in DVD sales, I'm sure DB has way more popularity in DVD and video game sales than those other shows did.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
A game like that selling anything close to a million is a job well done. Trust me, I know how hard it is for niche titles (for a video game, DB is still niche despite how popular the show is) to sell well.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
Budokai 3 was one of the greatest games I've ever played in my life. I'll probably end up picking this up a few weeks after it's released. Won't really have the time to play it or even the spare cash to put it up upon it's actual release date. I really did like the first Budokai and third one especially (like I've already said). Doesn't really bother me that two isn't in there, as I wasn't too big into it.
By the end of November this will be in my collection nonetheless.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
I hope they smoothed out the gaming mechanics as well i always found the Budokai series a little clunky compared to Budokai Tenkaichi which was a ton of fun btw.

That board game story mode just seemed lazy especially when Budokai 1 had full blown CGI cutscenes and such. Which looked amazing as well.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
If I remember right, the 2nd was the most critically acclaimed. Weird that they are just doing 1 and 3. I wish the DMC HD Collection would have done that and left out 2.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
I think 2 was just lacking in content, 3 had everything number 2 had in terms of characters and such and more.

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai HD Collection
If anyone has any extra info on this game, do they know what characters outside of DBZ(meaning DB and GT) will be in this game?
