So...

IGN gives it a 9.6 and says its the best Pokemon on the DS. With the largest Pokedex ever, it's supposed to be amazing.

Let's discuss.

UPDATE: Starting pokemon are the same as Black and White 1: Tepig, Snivy and Oshawott.

Water - Water - Water

Fire - Fire/fighting - fire/fighting

grass - grass - grass

So does this mean they've run out of colours?

Thought Black and White was a great addition to the series, making some real nice changes while keeping the core gameplay that's made all the games so fun and good in the past. Diamond and Pearl was were the games imo started to hit a wall and I probably enjoyed those 2 the least as they didn't really add anything new that made it any different. Black and White came along and blew me away in all honesty, so I'm looking forward to the sequels. Just wondering though... new game means more pokemon yes? They really jumped the shark in Black and White the the fucking ice cream cone and bin bag pokemon, so I'm unsure what else they will come up with for these games

I totally wished that they would put new pokemon in the game. The Black and White Generation is pretty damn bad. Missed the days of Gold and Silver. They really need to put more humanshaped pokemon in, just my thoughts. I didn't like the new 151, and i heard that there's not really going to be new pokemon in BW2

Why more human pokemon?

I'd like to see more type combinations myself. Poison Dragon type, awesomeness personified.

Anyway I went Grass with Black and Water with White, so I guess Fire for B2.

But I am so sick of fire fighting, are they just afraid of change?

Why not change it up, psychic, dark and fighting. Works just the same before but its different to the same old same old.

I don't know what the new 3 starters are. I have honestly been avoiding the news to build excitement.

I can say there are a few new pokemon. Some come with preorder, some come with linking with your Black & White 1 version, others are legendary pokemon. Apparently it's the same location as BL & WH 1, but new add-ons. If you can't go back and fight previous trainers this time, I'll be go into a 5 move rage!

I've been disappointed with the legendary pokemon since ruby/sapphire. It's really only been Dragons, or stupid looking bugs and celebi. I want some crazy fucking thing. We had that new normal pokemon in Pokemon Conquest, but his normal attack was effective against all types; I would love something like that. 1 Pokemon that is above types, making him truly legendary.

I agree with all of this; blend more types together. I went water in #1, so I plan on going fire or grass. What was silly was it didn't matter because you got that monkey (want to be evee) right away in #1 so it didn't quite matter.

I miss the consequences of choosing a fire over grass, or water over fire. I want that back again.

as for black and white 2, i tried playing white a while ago and got bored halfway through

might try one again but honestly this generation killed my interest. that or ive become too analytical. forgotten how to enjoy pokemon. nowadays its all moves and stats for me
