Re: Dishonored
I don't think I'd do a play through other than lethal.

Re: Dishonored
I haven't deliberately killed anyone yet. Not even the mission targets. I am the world's cuddliest assassin.

Re: Dishonored
I only kill enemies if I have no other choice and for the fun of it. Why have a knife if I won't use it? With that aside, I'm also trying to play it kinda stealthy because I don't want to be a clumsy assassin, I want to be that 'knife in the dark'. Most of the time I'm trying to do non-lethal takedowns, choke them out or shoot them with sleeping darts to knock them out. I only use the pistol if it's really necessary, I like the crossbow better, less effective, yes, but it's a silent weapon, at least.

Re: Dishonored
I finished the 4th mission, the party. IT pissed me off because I answered a few questions wrong and I had to go rambo on everyone. the saving in this game is pretty horrible.

Re: Dishonored
I enjoyed what little I played of it (meaning the prologue). The graphics are mediocre, but I don't care too much about that. Nothing playing the game on the PC wouldn't fix (I played on the 360). I like how the game allows you to explore different ways of going about the story and gameplay. I planned for a non-lethal playthrough, but since I no longer have the game (I merely checked it out), I'll have to wait. I'm not a huge fan of the art style, but it's something unique compared to most games nowadays and that already puts it ahead of the pack. Voice acting and animations were a bit stiff, but it's a non-issue in the grand scheme of things. All in all, I'd play it again. Probably not on the 360, though.

Re: Dishonored
Just starting my second playthrough on this, gonna attempt to kill absolutely nobody in the whole game, not be detected and without purchasing any upgrades or powers, this may take a while.

Re: Dishonored
This game just ain't doing it for me. Being stealthy is boring but killing everyone is too easy.

Yeah, don't rely on autosave. I learnt that the hard way. Now I have 3 or 4 rolling saves to fall back on.

Re: Dishonored
Must be most of the way through this now, on the Flooded District mission. I haven't killed anyone yet (except one guy who I meant to choke out but accidentally put a knife in the throat and had to reload), and I don't intend to unless I play it through again. I still think I'd try and keep the stealthy aspect going, but it'd be fucking satisfying to shoot someone in the face when I got in a tough situation instead of having to improvise an escape plan on the fly, or just get killed.
Despite the non-lethal playthrough attempt, I'm surprised at how the usual good/bad morality system doesn't really apply here. A few of the options I've taken with main targets almost seem worse than slitting their throats before they know I'm there.
I don't know how anyone could rely on the autosave for this game, I'd have thrown a pad through the window. Hell, it tells you to 'save often' on the loading screen for a reason. I really enjoy the level of freedom you have in this game. Out of curiosity, I watched a walkthrough of a part I'd already done on youtube, and it was almost like a different mission set in the same level.
