Re: Dishonored

I bought this game release date and still haven't gotten around to playing it. It sounds amazing, if a bit short.

Re: Dishonored

I beat the first mission. Definitely got better as I got better. one thing that infuriated me:
when you kill campbell (poison or not) and don't kill the guard captain (who the girl asked you to save), you have to hide the captain's body. I hid his body, saw an update pop up saying I hid his body, then she still told me he never returned and I got nothing for it. Make sure you hide the fuck out of that body.
also, I heard there is no new game plus, but you can replay missions. One of the runes you can only get if you get a certain power by the end of the first mission, which I didn't. so that fucking gay. other than that, fun exploration in deed.

Re: Dishonored

Just started this game today. I think it is great, I love how you have so many different options in regards to general scenarios and in terms of the storyline, you have to be really careful in order to get the best possible scenario. I just got the upgrade which turns your victims into ash, this is really good because dead bodies had been fucking me up quite a bit when all the guards are alerted by them.

At the moment I am leaning more towards stealth because I actually find the combat pretty awkward, my 'chaos level' is still high though because if I can kill someone without notifying anybody else then I probably will, jut because it makes me feel more at ease.

When I get to my second playthrough I think I'm gonna try a 100% stealth run for that 50G achievement of not killing anyone, that would be pretty cool I think.

I'm really enjoying the abilities atm, I think my favourite one so far is the wind one which is really useful if you manage to get yourself in a sticky situation with a group of enemies.

the 2nd level of dark eyes shows traps and items throughout the world, but not a farther view of enemies. It might not be worth the upgrade, unless you suck at seeing booby traps like me.

favorite is the blink, by far.

does this work on knocked out enemies (unaware still) too? I'm debating between this upgrade and the swarm of rats power.

stealth is getting easier and easier the more I play.

No it doesn't work if you use a non-lethal takedown so not useful if you're not going to do the killing routine.

Re: Dishonored

Man, all week all I've been hearing are debates on how short Dishonored really is. So imagine my surprise when after six hours, I finally came to the epic conclusion...

Of the first mission.

Fuck me, there's a lot to explore in this game. I love that it rewards you for it with non-lethal mission goals. I am the anti-assassin.

I've logged in like 20 hours so far, I'm just half way through on mission 3. I am a slow non-lethal type.
