Official NBA 2K13 Thread
 
Less than 30 days until 2K13 drops, October 2nd to be exact.



So far what's been confirmed to be in the game:
  • All-Star Weekend (If you pre-order)
  • Shoe Creator
  • Rumored that you can now use classic teams during online play
  • MyTeam Mode (A mode similar to Madden's Ultimate Team mode)
  • Classic Teams (So far 92 Dream Team, 72 Lakers, 90's Hornets, 90's Knicks, 91 Bulls, 96 Sonics, 96 Bulls, 95 Magic & 01 76ers have been confirmed)
  • Association Changes (Apparently this year contracts work exactly like the real NBA)
  • Total Sim Control (Gives you more control over simulated games during Association/Season. For ex. if you want Steve Nash to shoot more shots than Kobe, what type of defense you want your team to play, etc.)
  • MyPlayer Mode (It has been re-named to My Career, the mode is the exact same concept, but apparently there are a lot of changes to the mode. What's been revealed is you can now be picked #1, you can pick "game day outfits", "game arrival outfits" and "blacktop outfits." And you can have signature warm-ups and taunts (Ex. LeBron throwing up the chalk, Wade hanging on the rim, etc.)

This will probably be the last game I plan on buying this year. I'm hoping that Association mode has been greatly improved.

The last NBA game I bought was NBA 2K11 which is probably the greatest basketbal video game ever made. I might pick up NBA 2K13 for All Star Weekend, updated roster, and improved My Player and Association modes.

Might pick it up. Hopefully my player mode got a ton of updates. Usually thats the only mode i play

Also been confirmed that the 91 Bulls are in the game.

Also some more updates:
- Despite previous reports, the official word from 2K is that All-Star Weekend will only be available if you pre-order, they haven't said anything about it being added as DLC.
- 2K has also released information about MyPlayer, which I put in the OP.

I pre-ordered the Dynasty Edition. I will cruise on with MLB 2k12, Madden 13 and after midnight NHL 13 until this release.
