Great, Skyrim will be #1.

And a little heads up IGN, COD isn't a RPG.

Skyrim is pretty amazing and should be top 15 at least. Dragon Age Origins too. Fuck, I hate lists.

Re: IGN's Top 100 RPGs (starts 9/10)

Regardless if the list is good or not, I love reading these types of things. If anything, it brings back memories and I enjoy reading the blurbs/descriptions. IGN is usually cool and puts a couple videos to watch to.

Oh and if I recall, their SNES list rocked.

15. Tetris Attack
14. Final Fantasy II
13. Earthbound
12. Mega Man X
11. Secret of Mana
10. Super Mario RPG
9. Star Fox
8. Super Mario Kart
7. Yoshi's Island
6. Street Fighter II Turbo
5. Super Mario World
4. Final Fantasy III
3. Super Metroid
2. Chrono Trigger
1. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger and and FFVII should be in the top 10.

The SNES overall had the best collection of RPG's compared to any other console.

That list is not terrible. I would of easily given FFII the boot for Castlevania IV somewhere in the top 10 on that list. Game had the greatest soundtrack maybe ever

Nah, the PS1 will place the most games on the list IMO.

The order that this list goes will be subjective, sure. But I will look to see what games place in hat area of the list. I wonder if FF Tactics will be on the list. I would like to see Chrono Trigger place above FFVI is probably my only real "concern" - I enjoyed both games, but I really did think Chrono Trigger was the better game. The one game that I would like to see rank highly on the list, was Dragon Quest V for the DS. That game was just on the same level as both of the games I just mentioned, and likely will not get mentioned due to being a newer game with less of a fanbase unfortunately.

I hope they leave Zelda games off their list - they aren't RPG's at all, they're action/adventure.

But this is a list about RPGs, not 3rd Person Action games...

Re: IGN's Top 100 RPGs (starts 9/10)

As long as Morrowind is above Oblivion and Vampires the Masqaurade Bloodlines is in there somewhere I'll be happy, won't be high as the combat is awful, but deserves a place for being the best written game of all time.
