Re: The Walking Dead episodic game *posible spoilers*

I don't think i've ever engaged with a protagonist so much. Or cared for the safety of an eight year old. So far it's GOY for me but with Halo4 and Borderlands 2 coming out it's going to be a close call.

Re: The Walking Dead episodic game *posible spoilers*

This game has gotten better & better with each episode.
I don't want to give away spoilers, but Episode 3 was emotional and I didn't even like most of the characters affected.

You have to love Clem though, not only do you play the game caring about her safety, but I find that I'm trying hard not to even upset her.

I love how much effort is put in to the various Walking Dead projects. They don't just release a bunch of crap, each one is not only worthy of the franchise, but seems to enhance it.

I don't know if this is officially in line with the actual comic, or TV show, or whether it's a 3rd, slightly unique world of its own, but I would love to see casual references to it in either the show or comic. Maybe when Hershel's story is explored a bit more.

To avoid the frustration of waiting for the episodes (usually a few months wait per episode) you might want to wait until they've released all 5, but if you're a fan of either the show or the comic (or point & clicks) then it's a must have. The biggest compliment I can give it is that it easily keeps with the emotion & quality of both the comic & the show.
However, if you're wanting something like Dead Island etc then you will be disappointed. There's action in it, and plenty of Zombies, but it's the Walking Dead, so as always it's more about the people than the zombies.

Re: The Walking Dead episodic game *posible spoilers*

I have played the first two but I am waiting a bit to play 3 because they eventually become free for players plus members.

Out of the first two, the second one was by far the best. Fucking amazing.

Love this game, feel they have been getting better and better with each episode.
Was pretty shocked by 3 and thought it was really well written, made me really feel for the characters.
Excited for episode 4 now

I can't believe they had to kill Carly! I'm still mad over that. It's a good thing when a video game makes you feel.

Re: The Walking Dead episodic game *posible spoilers*

This game is amazing, I've finished playing episode 3 yesterday and all I can say is that no other video game ever made me feel so sad. When Duck was dying I almost cried even though I didn't like him at all. Seeing two parents Kenny and Katjaa suffer made me relate to the whole family more and when I made the decision to shoot Duck myself... it took me quite a while to finally press the frickin button and finish the poor kid.

I hope this is true. I was worried we'd have to wait longer than a month. =D

Ive skimmed the telltale forums and there are loads of topics there. More than what you will get on WF tbh. The games section is pretty quiet for the most part.
(Directed to anyone) - How long is each episode about? If they're only an hour and a half, then yeah this series is too short for me to care. Do you make decisions that alter the course of the game and who lives/dies or are they less impacting decisions like whether you take the left or right path? It looked intriguing, but I thought they were supposed to be incredibly short.

Re: The Walking Dead episodic game *posible spoilers*

^ They are around 2-3 hours long. The TV show hasn't really captured my interest that much as the majority of Season 2 was a total borefest, but this game series is one of the few bright spots in gaming this year, as this year has been piss poor until now in gaming. Very few games that deserve mentioned.
