Re: FIFA 13 and Ultimate Team Discussion
LOVE the demo.
The new first touch system will take a while to get used to but i think it works really well. The whole game feels slicker and just touched up really nicely.
Day one purchase for me, going to fucking love this.

Yeah people will get used to the first touch system. When the fifa 12 demo came out, people were complaining about tactical defending and about a week after the game got released it all stopped.

TBH, I still hate this system lol.
Anyway, demo is great, the first touch has potential when you get used to it. The control of the ball is completely different when you go against a defender, he takes it almost every time no matter against who, for some reason he's always ahead of you, unless you cut it on second. The pace is slower but in a realistic way, you can't just move the field with 5 Xs. Interesting and I can see big improvement from last year.

First touch is going to take a long time to get used to but otherwise the game looks sleek as hell. Finally Glen Johnson doesn't have cornrows.

Re: FIFA 13 and Ultimate Team Discussion
it's not random. some players have better first touch than others. you sprint, the chances of a touch being bad increases, you overhit a pass, it can bounce away, hitting a long, unpredictable ball can make it bounce away. numerous factors come into play with the first touch.
i doubt the ratings are final, not that they ever really have much of a factor once you hit 75+
