If I get another FPS, it will be Borderlands 2, and waiting til Far Cry 3 possibly. Then Crysis 3. This isn't on my list honestly.

Look at it it this way, it can't be any fucking worse than the steaming pile of horse shit known as Modern Warfare 3.

Well Black Ops was dire, COD3 was shit, MW2 was pretty fucking shit most of the time. I'd say MW3 was better than MW2, because they nerfed certain things and took certain perks out, but I use the term better here very loosely. So needless to say they definitely have the ability to fuck this up royally and make it one of the worst ever.

Like with MW3 and Black Ops, I'm not buying this shit unless it gets good reviews from people I respect, i.e. not the gaming media like IGN who gives every COD a 9+ despite it sucking arse.

This is the biggest issue I have with the CoD games. They are just shitty arcade style shooters. I get that a lot of people seem to love brain-numbing, boring and unrealistic multiplayer without any shred of teamwork required and that's their decision. I, however, don't like getting repeatedly killed and then tea-bagged by a guy shooting a .50 cal Barrett sniper rifle from the hip after doing a 360 jump in the air.

All the fanboys use the "it's the best selling game ever" argument and that's fine, but sales doesn't = quality. So that argument is pretty dumb. That and IGN and the major "reputable" reviewers have their mouths so tightly pursed around Activision's ass hole there is seemingly no credibility in reviews anymore either.

This.

I can't stand the COD multi-player, BF 3 fucking destroys it. I hate how unrealistic it is in COD, for reasons you mentioned above and others. People who play COD aren't man enough to play Battlefield. That's right, I said it. Come at me, bro.

I've played Battlefield numerous times, I just don't like the mechanics (well that, and my PC isn't strong enough to play it well so that takes away from the experience). I prefer shooters that don't have enormous maps with vehicles, planes and all that shit. Being able run around and no-scope everyone with a fucking sniper is indeed ridiculous, but flying around in a helicopter and killing people is a pretty fuckin' easy to kill people too, I can't say that requires a lot of skill.

I try to play battlefield 3 but my aiming sucks on that game. Also how can a game be realistic? It's a game right?

Whoa, man. Calm your nipples. I've played both on the XBOX, and I find COD to be far more enjoyable on the platforms. I know you play BF3 on the PC, and I wish I could, because that's what the game is meant for. BF3 just isn't meant to be played on the systems, like COD is. These maps that are designed for 64 player multiplayer on the PC are then put into the 360 and PS3 versions of the game, where it's 12-on-12, and it just doesn't work. If I had a PC capable of running BF3 well, I'm sure I'd share your opinion, but considering I've only played them on the 360, I have to disagree.

As for realism, does it really matter? It's not like COD is striving to be realistic. You can't get perks or kill streaks in real life, obviously. They aren't trying to make a war simulator, they're trying to make an entertaining video game.

Lets not pretend like COD doesn't take any skill. Have you seen MLG COD? Pub matches are a different story and the lobbies can be filled with some douchebags, but in a controlled setting like MLG rules, it's actually a damn good watch and fun experience if you can get a team together on Gamebattles.
