I'll try not to buy this.

Looks decent but it'll follow the same CoD formula and make a bundle because of it.

Prestige 10 could be 15 if i wanted and i swear i could play MW3 all day and never get bored. There has got to be something wrong when ur online and all you see is hate but in the real world everyone and their gramps is buying it.
People on the internet hate popular things. Nickleback, John Cena, Call of Duty, Yankees, Justin Bieber, Facebook, etc. Whether you like these or not, all of these brands get unnecessary hate simply because they are popular. That's not saying all people that hate these things hate them because they are popular. I mean, I don't understand the hype with Bieber but I know he has some talent, otherwise he wouldn't have all these fans. Call of Duty went from the cult game it was from Call of Duty to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare to the fastest selling game franchise due to the game being entertaining for many during that point. Then Activision smartly makes the game a yearly occurrence changing very little each year, cashing in on the success. The game becomes a mega franchise and people just turn on it. There are some good reasons to not like the franchise, and if you never liked it from the beginning, then you won't like it now, but people just become haters. The haters who do not like popular things try to find little things to complain about and blow it out of proportion. Since the game comes out every year with few changes the argument becomes that the game never changes and "it sucks" and "it's trash". This generally follows a comment saying "I like Modern Warfare 2, but these games never change, so I didn't play the next two cause they suck." The argument is the game sucks because it doesn't change but they liked the first ones. The other comments are sheep comments that are unwarranted because they never played it. Now there are some legit complaints with Modern Warfare 3. The campaign was the shortest I've seen in these games. The multiplayer maps seem lackluster compared to previous iterations. The DLC is 100% milked to death, especially with Elite. So there are things to complain about, but every time there is a giant complaint thread like the ones you see on youtube, it just advertises the game more. If people don't like the game, don't play it. No one is forcing Call of Duty onto the haters. And if people really hate Call of Duty so much, why spend so much time complaining about it. People still buy it because people like it.

Simply put, it sucks because it's popular.

I was actually getting excited for this, but when i found it it was going to be futureistic, it was already a no no.
I hate futuristic games. MW2 was the only modern game. MW3 even feels to old style.

Right, because most popular things are designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator, so people of more discerning tastes aren't very likely to enjoy them. That being said, I find hilarious that the sort of people who usually vehemently hate Call of Duty eat up shit like Skyrim and Minecraft, treating them as the second coming of Christ, when they're just as bad.

yeah man i hear u, i mean i tell myself i won't be getting the new cod every year too cuz its just gonna be the same old crap like john cena and it turns out to be just that. its just kinda hard to not buy it when every1 is talking about it and all my friends and the media and tv are talking about it. so much hype so i feel left out if i end up not getting the all new mighty cod game -_-, its like a double edge sword, u don't buy, u save money but u get left out, u buy, u don't get left out but get stick with the same old crap . idk what i will do come november

COD 4 is still the best COD game to date in my opinion, it's a shame that no one plays it anymore.
I just got back into it. Roughly 3300 people on at like 2am EST. There's still a bunch of people that play and the number of modders/glitchers has reduced severely. I think Infinity Ward went ahead and addressed them in a recent patch. Same with MW2.

As for BO2, I'll buy it. I love COD, but I find myself getting burnt out on it quicker and quicker every year. It's more about seeing how high I can get my stats and ranking up than the actual gameplay. That's the only reason I touch MW3 now.

WHOA WHOA WHOA. Skyrim is amazing and deserves ALL of the hype and praise it gets. The game could literally last you years.

I agree with Minecraft though. Was fun for a while, but now it's just boring.
