Even a vampire guild. Turn into a vampire, and find it. There is this book called Tamrielic Lore, which has the best items in the game and it describes them. Me and my brother called it "the List" and set out to attempt to find as many as possible. The book does not have their locations so you just got to be a mad explorer. The game also doesn't have leveled NPCs, which i prefer. You walk into some random cave/dwemer ruin/daedric shrine and they'll be guys significantly tougher than you that you cannot kill. You mark that place down, and come back 20 levels later to exact your revenge. Items aren't leveled either nor are they random. If an NPC is wearing ebony, he'll wear it at level 1 or level 50. Chests are all preset too. It makes getting powerful items WAYYY more valuable. There's is only like 3 pairs of daedric gauntlets, greaves, and boots in the game, which makes having them dope, and only one daedric curiass. And its worn by this bomb old guy, who I could never bring myself to kill. Fighting kinda sucks though. With so many unique weapons as there is no leveling, you save EVERYTHING that is cool and you decorate your house just by laying all your cool shit everywhere to admire it. The story is soooooo deep and frankly your character, the Neveraine, is the most badass of the bunch.
It is quite different from skyrim but all should try it.

This is going to make me sound like an arsehole but, Morrowinds graphics hurt my eyes so i like skyrim more.

Yeh it was great, they made pretty massive area for something that most people will probably just skip through on their way to the main quest.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
Hey guys, I want to start another game with a different class. I was wondering which class is the most fun to use?
My old game save had me as a conjurer. I basically spam 2x Dremora Lords, Lydia and Esbern to do all my fighting. Its really hard to aim magic in the console version.

So this is the Christmas number 1 in the UK. MW3 is 3rd. I feel like this is a victory of some kind.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
So I finally got this and put about 3 hours into it so far. Got the Dragonstone and killed my first Dragon last night, which was cool. Then I basically just started to walk around and figure shit out. I found a nice old lady in the middle of the woods living in a shack. I went inside to see what she had, only to hear here scream and I came out and some vampire dudes had already killed her, I laughed. This game is pretty intimidating, I must say. So much to do, don't really know where to start. But that's what I wanted out of this, so I'm looking forward to getting lost in the world.

Never seen that old lady get killed by Vampires before. Shes a witch and she'll try and kill you if you go in her cellar.

I never made it to her cellar, I should have looked around more thoroughly. I made it to her first bookshelf before those guys jacked her. After I killed them I just moved on.

I have to say that when I first play the game, I was a bit overwhelmed.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
Indeed, it can be intimidating. Especially considering I don't usually go for games like this. I played Oblivion a bit but that was years ago when it originally came out. I did a few side quests today and ran into two dragons, both raped my life. I also tried to take down a mammoth, not realizing for some reason that there was 3 other ones behind it and when I realized this they all rushed me and I managed to run away and I swear to god those things chased me for a very, very long time. It actually got to the point where it began to be funny and now around every corner I expect that mammoth to be there, it's an ongoing joke to me now.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
Missed the old lady completely.
I remember there being a lot of stuff like that in Fallout. Creepy but awesome moments. I remember one whole sidequest was dedicated to a town and trying to figure out who the serial killer sick fuck was. Bethesda are good with moments like those.
Had an Ice Troll chase me all the way to High Hrothgar. Was funny but also scary when stamina ran low.
