I also dislike the new menu/favorites system. Much prefered the hotkey and menu systems in Oblivion.

Yeah, the misc quests are annoying to navigate through. I like to have a different list for the guild questline.

I finally forged the whole set of Daedric armor. Totally bad ass. Now I'm trying decide if I should join the Dark Brotherhood. Are there any upsides for joining the group and completing their questline?

Yeh, you get to sneak up behind people and kill them.

Limitless income. Once you finish the main quest, there is a permanent quest called "The Dark Brotherhood Forever." It keeps going and going and going. You earn anywhere from 600 - 1500 gold per target killed. Same goes for the Thieves Guild and their "Available Jobs." They never really end.

Dark Brotherhood was an awesome questline in my opinion, second only to the Thieve's Guild.

How long does it take to "Restore the Thieves guild to its Former Glory"?

You have to complete jobs that Vex and Devlin give you in 4 Cities; Solitude, Whiterun, Markarth and Riften. Now once you have got enough influence in those Cities you will be offered a Special Job. Once you have completed all the Special jobs in the selected cities you would have restored the Guild to its former glory and also become the Guild Master.

You get the awesome Jesters costume. The hat alone gives you a 35% increase to sneaking. You also get Shadowmere.

Shadowmere is an ass stomping machine. I enjoy wolfing up and kicking the shit out of a dragon with a horse.

GameStop tried to convince Bethesda Game Studios, or whomever handles their public realations, to give that hat as a 'GameStop Pre-Order Exclusive'. They, obviously, didn't give any exclusives to GameStop. I ordered the collectors edition anyways.

I forgot about that until you brought up the Jester Costume, it is just an interesting 'factoid'.
