So I'm doing that quest in the main storyline where you have yo infiltrate the Thalmar Embassy. I gave the "inside man" a dagger, two health potions and my Ancient Shrouded Armour set. That's all I have once I'm inside. Kinda wish I gave him some other shit to smuggle in there because doing this with one dagger and a couple potions is just not cutting it. I figured I'd only have to sneak up and shank someone then bail, but I was way wrong on that. I actually managed to get out, but once I got into the escape tunnel I got blindsided by a frost troll. Cunt.
Also, what does Azura's Star actually DO?
EDIT: The freezing is annoying as shit. Mine's does it semi-regularly and it's fucking infuriating if my last save was a while back. I bought Oblivion about a year after it came out, so things had been patched and whatnot by then. Waiting a while for this to be patched up probably would've been a smart idea.

Yeah, I didn't really give much to the informant inside the Embassy. Didn't give him any of my Dark Brotherhood, or Nightingale uniforms. Just gave him my Sword, Dagger and Bow. But thankfully I already had my Sneak quite high up and was wearing a ring that gave a boost to my sneaking. I also had all the perks that give sneak damage to all weapons. As for that Frost Troll, I just legged it.
Lets just hope the next patch doesn't bring with it any more glitches like the last one did.
