Legendary is awesome, but it takes a bit of getting used to. (This reminds me, I really need to start playing my Diary Character again..)

What kind of setup are you going to use this playthrough for Seath?

Yeah, archery training. I have mines up to 40 right now which should help. Argonians are garbage and are scum but Histskin is pretty awersome.

Light Armor
Conjuration
Illusion
Archery
Sneak

I'll work on Smithing and Enchanting later in the game when i have the resources, Iron Dagger trick takes way to long. I'll work on alchemy along the way. Have a good amount of Red Mountain Flowers so once i get to Riften and get Salt Piles i should be able to make some poisons.

I currently use a long bow enchanted with Frost and an Imperial Sword with the same enchantment. When i'm detected i use flame in the other hand.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

There's a Smithing trainer in Markarth that I like to use early game. I use that, jewelry and leather bracer making to level Smithing.

I think it's essential to get the perk where you can sell anything to any merchant early. That way you can sell potions back to the trainers to make your coin back. It really really helps early game when you're buying skill levels and gold matters.

Made a sandwich while playing Skyrim, didnt need to pause because i had my character deep underwater the whole time. Guess that waterbreathing ability is good for something.

Whats the difference between the trainer in Markarth and every other trainer? Once i get a good amount of petty and lesser soul gems i'll smith fear to level up. That way i could work on 2 essentials, Speech is kinda hard to level up early on. I'd need 50 in speech to be able to get the skill to sell anything.

Dawnguard just approached me, i forgot that i'll need to focus on restoration too so i could use those awesome Sun spells.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

The trainers don't really matter until you reach a certain level of training. The lowest trainer is the one in Markarth, next would be the smith in Riften and then an Orc that is located south of Markarth.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I think i'm not gonna start the main quest at all. I can go fight the 1st Dragon now but i'm gonna spend the majority of my time entering caves and other locations. I barely did that with my last character.

I died a few times last night in the ruin where you get the Ghost Blade. I couldnt handle the chick hurling ice spikes at me.

Think i'm gonna head to Morthal today and gather a ton of Deathbell. I have a ton of Red Mountain flower and Salt Pile so with a good amount of Deathbell you know what that means

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

And yeah exploring alot while underpowered is what I'm going to focus on next time. I usually spend the first 20 or so hours just powering my character up and I start exploring when I have good gear. Exploring when the odds are against me seems to be much more fun because there's a chance I can die. I'm going to do alot more of that.

A good idea, Soup, is to get that magic defense you get when doing the lovers quest from the temple in Riften... It's an easy three piece quest and you get a 15 percent perm reduction against magic. It'll help out alot and can be done very early as you don't need to actually kill anything.
