Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I only focused on enchanting and alchemy once I started playing on 360. All of my PS3 characters sucked at it which made things tough since I wasted perks. I could remember not being able to use higher destruction or conjuration spells cuz I lacked magic.

Enchanting definitely makes the game easier because I agree on a higher level once you fought tougher mages and dragons youll get destroyed easy. Im casting high lvl restoration and alteration spells using 0 magic

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

yeah using 0 magic to cast spells is amazing. I do that with Illusion on my assassin character. I can caste invisibility sneak up behind someone, slice their throat then immediately cast invisibility again and do the same. It's a whole lot of fun doing that.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

You ever out points in the Sneak tree besides the backstab and archery skills the tree has. Illusion is the best magic in the game add that with alteratiin and you can be the ultimate assassin, detect life and dead are extremely useful.

I have 24 points to use from all the skills I made legendary, I put some into block and wow. Im disarming some ppl just with my Shield bash and the slowmo makes battling warriors so much easier. Cany wait till I get the Shield Charge.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Yeah without looking at it right now I think I go up the right side of the sneak tree for the archery and backstab bonuses. With that backstab bonus and the gloves you get in the Dark Brotherhood if you sneak up on someone they are dead, no questions asked.

Block is a hell of a lot of fun. You're going to love Shield Charge. It's a blast especially when you knock someone off of a cliff or something to their death.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

This is probably weird, but I think Block is the best "weapon" skill in the game. I mean you obviously have to use 1 handed with it as a given, but the Shield charge and shield power bash moves are incredibly powerful imo.

You can completely pussify anything in the game with those moves including the most powerful dragons (so long as you have the stamina for it) and especially anything that is human-sized. You can just trample them with Shield Charge over and over and hack them to death with a butter knife if you felt like it.

One of the greatest ring presences ever. Rest in peace champ.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

It makes fighting warriors incredibly easy but thats one thing I love about Skyrim. It takes a while to lvl up certain skills and once you use points in that tree you get even more badass. Unless you attacked Giants just to blocm over and over which I heard gets your block up fast.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Yeah that's how I level up Block quickly. You'll be surprised at how quick it is. lol If I didn't have so many points in Block I'd Legendary that skill out and do it all over again.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Soup, yeah, the best way to get block up is to find a mudcrab (or two), then block, lower shield, then block again when they attack. if you hold block they will attack slower, but if you let it down then press it again as they're rearing back to attack, they will be super aggressive and the skill will storm upward really fast.

You can level up armor the same way, except find more mudcrabs (or rats), and just let them beat on you while you heal. There's pretty much a really fast way to level up almost anything. Almost all anyway :P

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Just became a werewolf then.

After a dozen or so attempts at playthroughs where I never did the side quests and started a new save 'cause of either losing the save or getting it on a new console, I'm finally playing through it properly.

is what I can say.

Just need to whore up a few levels otherwise I'm just target practice.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

lol ROUSEY I do all the quests.. even the little mundane ones. I hardly ever touch the main quest line. I'm not a big fan of that quest line to begin with. I think the others trump it. I love the Dark Brotherhood quest line the most I think.
