Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Yeah its a great game, greater depending on what console u have it on. Im afraid I wont be playing for alittle while since im on Borderlands 2 then Assassins Creed 3 and maybe Black Ops 2. Its really addicting, u could play for hours and never get bored, ive done that alot lol. Plus switching styles up adds 100s of hours of longevity.

If u do play remember Dremora Lords youll thank me when u get that spell. Conjuration and illusion will be the magic to go for.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Being able to re-spec perk points would be the fucking bomb in this game.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I used to think being able to re-spec would be great but I think if given the option it would destroy the ability of numerous playthrough. Like my first playthrough I was all destruction magic and did it all wrong. If I was able to re-spec then maybe I wouldnt do my illusion character. Guess im saying if u could re-spec here then longevity to the game would be lost for some.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Nah that's a great point. You're correct about that. I wouldn't have done the several playthroughs I have done if I could just simply respec.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Im usually correct
Should be alseep but up for some reason lol.
I recently felt like enchanting is the closest thing to being able to re-spec points used. Like I said my very first playthrough was destruction magic. I tossed skill points here and there and when I got to adept and master spells I couldnt even use em. (didnt discover how awesome enchanting and alchemy were then)

Now if I use my Ned Stark playthrough which was all about conjuration basically but enchanting is 100, I could enchant restoration gear and use those spells like nothing same with other magic, or if I never focused on archery. I could create gear that would turn me in a deadly archer.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I'm going to get Dawnguard but I'm a little concerned about the vampire attacks and how they can kill NPC's in holds. Are the vampire attacks problematic and if so are they easy to find and kill?

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

They werent a huge problem for me. A couple times I fast traveled and an attack was happening but by the time I got to the action Vamp was dead. Only major loss ive gotten was in whiterun when after an attack I saw the Blacksmith chick dead. She is better than her husband. And get Dawnbreaker cuz it works very well.

Only tough fight I had with a vamp attack was in Dawnstar where a vampire and 2 Gargoyles attacked then a dragon landed. Do you have the Hearthfire dlc?

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

The vampire attacks can be a problem but that just adds a little more realism to the game for me and I enjoy it. Both shopkeepers at Riverwood are dead for me. Not sure if it was a vampire attack or what. I traveled there once and the female was laying in the street dead and I couldn't find the guy. Still haven't found him lol

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Is it still glitches so after you beat Dawnguard the attacks still happen? That was my main problem.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Are the attacks supposed to stop after beating Dawnguard? Did anyone go the vampire route at all. Actually played alittle bit today just to do the book trick and get smithing and enchanting to 100. Its weird how everything I do is related to Dead Space now lol. Created a dragonbone bow with a paralyze enchantment and called it the Stasis Bow, a Dragonbone sword with a fire enchantment called the plasma cutter.

My speech is actually pretty high, im surprised its up their naturally instead of the Riften glitch I usually used.
