Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I'm not saying its bad but as someone who was constantly listening to interviews and such before the game came out, it had great concepts, but not really done right.

Things they could've made much better:
- MQ. The last boss fight was terrible and the story kind of felt dull and no interesting characters
- Civil War. Could've been GREAT, but it was 4 battles at forts and that's it. Nothing unique. No rewards. No differentiation in quests. No epic battles(though I can understand limitations for this).
- More magic spells.

Stuff missing in general:
- Spell crafting
- Unique locations
- Attributes for more specialization
- And more stuff I can't think of as of now

Spoiler for Danwguard:
gives an illusion of having a choice between two main sides in a battle. The quests are basically the same for either side and no real sense of being apart of each side.

Hearth fire is good. Especially for 5$. Just buggy on mine though.

Great game limited by time constraints IMO.

Well said sir. I now respect your comment earlier. I just don't like hearing people bash things with at least minimal cred to why they're saying it. Thanks for your input man. I agree with you on a lont of that actually.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I absolutely live skyrim. I dont think theres another game where I would get a 360 buy the same game for a new console and buy a new mini hard drive just to try the dlc. Also theres no game where ive unlocked ever achievment yet I continue to play it a ton. Yes more spells and other things were missing but I loved how you can mix and match to maybe an unlimited tune.

Also the Civil War and Main quest werent so good I agree, it lacked alot but just like Borderlsnds snd to an extent Dead Island where the main storylines lacked, everything else was great. Tons of sidemissions and other activities to participate in. if you saw me last night utilising the Hearthfire add ons you would think im playing the greatest game ever. I absolutely loved it. Havent even touched Dawnguard and im sure I will enjoy it a ton.

Yeah I can't imagine this game being much better. The only complaint I have are the load times. That's it.

Even though I love Skyrim to bits I still agree with this, the writing for New Vegas was great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Yeah im playing Fallout 3 right now to and the story in that is considerably better. I just think this game because how.much content snd how many different ways you can play. Im playing Fallout 3 throwing grenades expecting to lvl up explosions cuz of how great Skyrim made leveling up.

Does anyone read the books in the game. I got the yellow book of riddles and heard its great.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Meh, having a great story really doesn't mean that much to me. Hell before this my favorite game was Borderlands and that story was terrible as well lol. That's just not high on my priority list on games.

Don't get me wrong, the better the story the better the game would ultimately be I guess. I just don't need it, however.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

The quests for the stories just weren't great either or characters and IMO this are important parts to RPGs.

Borderlands didn't even have a story it was so bad.
