Ugh. I have two houses in Hearthfire now and my steward is at one house and everything I tried to buy for it went to the other house.

How big are your houses Striker, do you buy these things from normal merchants or the Jarls Steward. How much gold do you think it would cost to build the biggest house possible. Are there different types of building. Like would I be able to build a dwemer type house like the one you could by in Markarth right?

How do you like being able to summon the Dremora Lord. Arent they awesome. Your trick of flanking them should work more now. If you get the Twin Souls perk youll be unstoppable.

I haven't gotten a chance to use the Dremora Lord yet. I've been busy with other non-fighting stuff.

And you buy the land from the Jarls steward.

All the houses have three wings. Theres three option for each wing. I can't remember which area matches up with each wing but here goes somethings you can build:

-Trophy room
-Kitchen
-Greenhouse
-Bedroom for kids
-Alchemy lab
-Enchanting lab
-Armory
-Storage room
-Library

It's not that much customization, but it's a fun thing to blow money on, especially for five dollars.

You get them from the Jarl. The base price is 5 thousand gold for the plot of land. The rest of the materials you can basically mine on your own property. I think the only thing you can't mine is lumber which you have to buy at mills. I've asked if I could cut my own lumber but the owners wouldn't let me lol

I don't know where you can find hay and glass so you have to buy that as well. But those don't cost much. Stuff like locks, nails, hinges and so on you can make out of iron ingots which of course you can buy or mine yourself. Corrondum is used as well so save that if you find some when you start over. I think it's used with Iron for locks.

Yeah, the Corrondum is used with Iron to make Locks. If you're going to build an Enchantment table you will also need Gold and a Grand Soul Gem. But it's mostly Sawn Wood and iron that are used to build the furnishings in your home. Also, the three plots of land you can buy from the Jarl's of Dawnstar, Falkreath and Morthal.

Ahhh hell no. I stole my two little girls a couple of dresses and a doll but it wont let me give it to them... I'm guessing it's because they are stolen. lol That's okay though. I'll sell them to my fence and buy them back which should remove the stolen tag. Gold is not an issue right now anyway.

Can you give your children anything. Still have a couple Glenmoril Witches heads that would be an awesome gift lol. Theres probably a limit of how many kids you can have in the house right, maybe 2 if so could that be 2 per house?

Should I put perks in pickpocketing. I will have alot to use since I pretty much know what magic, combat and stealth trees I wanna focus on. How useful is pickpocketing besides being able to pickpocket weapons and armor later in the tree.

You can have two kids in the game as far as I know and you can only give them certain items like sweet rolls, dolls, dresses and daggers. I gave each of my girls a very nice dagger lol.


I don't put any perks into pick pocket. I've never seen the use in it. I can pick pocket anyone I want already. All you have to do is enchant a couple items with fortify pickpocket and you're set. I'll look at the tree next time I'm playing though. There might be some cool perks in it.

Idk ive pretty much been major assassins ( was a pretty damn good one) so Thief sounds very different. What I dont want is to get stomped whenever I face a dragon or a dragon priest because you cant sneak by them all the time. I never understood the use of pickpocketing and lockpicking trees. Ive never put a perk in either and I can say I was good at both.

I totally forgot I could enchant gear for pickpocketing. Ive always used the calm and pacify trick.
