Make some cure potions, Soup, that's all ya need. That's what I do. Any two of the following ingredients work. Charred Skeever, Hawk Feathers, Mudcrab Chitin and Vampire Dust.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

well Mudcrab Chitlin and Vampire Dust it is cuz Charred Skeever and especially Hawk Feathers are hard to come by. So much easier making Carry Weight potions now than buying them.

was getting married and instead of saying I Do i just had to choose " Stop the wedding, i cant go through with this" lol its like that time i missed my own wedding. everyone keeps telling me get out and just leave. Even my Companion buddy Vilkas

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I really need to get this game back when GOTY version comes out. I always sell games early and regret it because I didn't experience anything. I never made a magic based character, a stealth one, anything but a Nord. Never made potions or anything. A ton of stuff missed out on.

Only thing that bothered me before is that I felt there weren't many side quests, but I didn't explore all the towns enough.

Do you guys recommend both the DLC?

Any recommendations on some fun skill set ups?

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Not enough sidequests:kg24
there are plenty of side quests and activities you can do. Ive gotten so many quests just by opening a book.

I would recommend both DLC's but thats cuz i think the game is awesome. youd have to talk to the Skyrim expert LadyCroft to find out if Dawnguard and Hearthfire are great add ons.

for most fun i would suggest you focus on magic types like enchanting, conjuration and illusion. i tried Destruction my first playthrough and even became a master at it but didnt like it. My next when i focused on Illusion and Alteration was the most fun. Just being able to calm or pacify a group of hostile bandits was fun, hell ive calmed giants and Frost Trolls and even made them run away in fear. Conjuration is fun for the summoning and with that you can try archery since you can summon an awesome bow.

I could go on for a while lol. LC told me how much fun enchanting and alchemy was and when i tried it i loved it but that was with a new character, she told me block so now im trying it out. Just focus on 2 or 3 things per character cuz you really cant become a master in everything really. you can get all 100s but really doesnt mean ur a master. My first character was a 100 in conjuration but i could do no spells at all.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

It wasn't that there wasn't enough side quests, but they all seemed very repetitive.

I'm thinking of doing something involving stealth, conjuration, and illusion.

Hearthfire is pretty cool. Nothing amazing but a fun feature. I'm in the process of furnishing one house and building a second one. Best feature so far is the greenhouse and garden. Plant one hard-to-come-by-item and get multiple in return.

This basically just adds that one extra thing to do, as if Skyrim didn't offer enough already.

Tried to adopt a child last night but was declined because I didn't have adequate sleeping quarters. What, isn't the stables suitable for a child...?!

Which locations did you choose? My favorite wing is the armory. I love having a bunch of mannequins to put the various armors I've collected or made throughout the game.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I guess going by MarkyMark's post you just have to put in one of the plants that you have harvested and it will multiply.
