Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
yeah marriage was a huge dissapointment for me. I could of swore before the game released development members said you could have children. (I very well could be wrong) I get that a realistic implication of this would be impossible, I mean what would you get if a kahjiit and arogonian had a child? However, there would be possible work around like adoption. Also, it makes sense why there's no "real" courting like a mass effect type game, because it would be impossible to add that amount of dialog for each NPC. Nevertheless, it would still be nice if marriage had its benefits other than a meal or a little gold. This is what I am hoping for the next TES game, radiant AI was great and added life to the world, but I am hoping with the next installment we see less of a static world. Instead of an apple forever sitting in a bowel on the counter I hope a npc has to go to shop and buy said apple and when he/she eats it its gone. Small things like this could add to marriage or the overall world it would be awesome to see your wife/husband go hunting, farming, shopping for you.
As far as houses go, I know we wont see Sims like amount of customization, but if we ever get a house editor I hope it's more than preset options. If you want to put your bed in the corner with a dragon skull hanging over it than you should be able to do it. Or be able to pose your mannequins, Small things like this would add 100's of hours in gameplay.
