Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Talking about the first Frost Troll you meet on the way to the Greybeards, so can't really use Relentless Force.

As for Soup's question to you Shark. He wants to know what sort of style will you be playing. I always go with a Sneaky character who uses the sneak damage perks, along with Bows and Daggers. Will you go sneaky? magic? Or just plain brutality with one handed, or even two handed weapons?

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

That is a shout isn't it. I meant just keep attacking it with relentless force, not the actual skill. That how I deal with trolls at a lower level.

Oh right, yeah, that's what I do as well. Just keep smashing it in the face with my shield, and then furiously slash away at it. Should kill it pretty quickly. Saving also might help you out.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

They're too much of a pain in the ass to pick your shots until you're at a higher lever. You have to rush them and kill them quickly.

Yeah, you always have to kill them quickly or they can be a bitch to kill. But once you're higher up they're really not that hard. Plus, it's Unrelenting Force... Always great shouting the Trolls off a high mountain and watching them fly off.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

That first Frost Troll is a bitch. But there is this rock you can get on and snipe away at it... Since Trolls regenerate health you can snipe away all day if you want and build up your archery. Here's a little video demonstrating it.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Of course first troll is a bitch if u start the main quest early. If ur goin up the 7000 steps as lvl 30+ then there should be no issue. Most toughest time I had wih a troll was when entering a cave I encountered 2 trolls. Man long hard fought fight for real. Can't wait to see that troll or whatever huge thing they showed in the Dawngurad trailer.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I had a great session yesterday. Tried out mounted combat in the mountains against some bears, until they fucking killed my horse

Then finished off a few awesome missions. During one, I leapt off a suspiciously Assassin's Creed looking ledge into a pool of water. A ghost bard appeared to say he'd tried that once and died, played his lute, then disappeared. Very weird.

Also got Dawnbreaker. Starting that mission got me stuck in the sky for a while though :/

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Mounted combat on Shadowmere is the way to go. Not a bear in the game that would hurt that horse.
