Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

For me, Skyrim is the better overall game, a lot more to do, play as, and combat is better. However, FO has buildings like the Dunwhich, Deathclaw sanctuarity, etc. Dunwhich to me is still the greatest explorable area in any sandbox game. That's not to say Skyrim doesn't have great spots I still haven't beat the MQ or Civil war quest, and the only guild quest I have beaten yet is the companions. I have spent 200+ hours in Skyrim and I am not even close to being bored, it's one of the best games I have ever played.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I got bored and pissed with how it played on PS3 but came back and created another.character when lots of ppl.broght this.thread back to life. I seriously can talk skyrim all day and you guys helped lol. When I did start again I chose a different approach and focused on illusion and alteration. Was so much more fun than destruction.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

alteration is pretty fun to at times. i used it aloy but it was just mostly Ebony flesh and paralyze and also detect life and dead. Detect life for when i go sneaky sneaky and use detect life when i just wander or look for a dead body to loot. some of the other spells are useless. like transmute and water breathing

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

I got Skyrim yesterday and I'm really, really enjoying it. Why the heck didn't I buy this earlier? The developers have put so much work into this game. The opening scene really sets the pace well and I just can't help but not marvel at the environments. It's such a beautiful game. Riverwood at sunset- glorious.

I'm on my second quest where I have to retrieve the Dragonstone. I think once I do that I'm going to hold off on the main quest for a while and fulfill some side quests. I gotta join the Legion. But man I love just aimlessly wandering around taking in the scenery.

Skyrim is a masterpiece IMO and I've only played it for about 2 hours lol.

Glad you're enjoying it, it's a fantastic game.
Personally I'm not far into the main quest at all I've done about 5 or less parts of the main quest. It's not that I don't want to play the main quest, it's just I keep getting distracted by other things lol.

Lately I've been doing alot of the Misc. quests, like yesterday I found a note on some guys desk (in a house I broke into lol) and it said there was a bandit leader in some cave who needed to be killed. So I did that, looted the cave and got my (100 gold coins T_T ) reward.

The only quests I'm not a fan of are "Collect 10 cave bear hides" or "Collect 20 Nightshade" etc.. Sometimes I forget I need those things so I have to buy them back after selling them lol..

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Just finished up the Greybeards quest and unfortunately the batteries died in my controller

It took me a while to find the place but boy was it a rewarding adventure. I honestly never would have thought I would have enjoyed Skyrim. RPG's have never been my thing and the whole idea of walking for hours never appealed to me. But I love to explore the world. It's so beautiful. I came upon this waterfall and my jaws dropped at the sight of the stream. I can't remember exactly which city it was in but I'm pretty sure most of you know what I'm talking about. It's en route to where the Greybeards are at.

Oh and how did you guys kill the frost troll? The first time a freaking frost troll and dragon spawned. WTF! I died (obviously) and when I respawned it was just the troll. I tried taking it out using bow and arrows, timing by shots with power weapons, using magic, everything! I just ran away from it like a bitch and went inside the High Hrothgar. It followed me inside, killed me but when I respanwed it just disappeared lol. Thank God!

@Soupman, not exactly sure what you're asking

Fire and relentless force are the best way to take down trolls. They regenerate.
