Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Skyrim is fun, enjoyed the gameplay. But for a complex, deep story nothing beats Witcher 2 imo. Witcher 2 has to be the best RPG of the last decade, if you haven't played it, please do.
Great article on gamespot comparing the 2 epic games.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

The Witcher 2 doesn't look like a game I'd get into nearly as much as Skyrim. I may try it in a year or so when the price comes down dramatically.

Watching that video I can't believe one of the reasons they added was "boobs". what? who gives a fuck about that? lol

Skyrim has a pretty deep story too, that is, if you want it to. Go read up on the lore of the Elder Scrolls with zero-summing, godhead, etc. I myself don't really know all that much about the lore, honestly. It's really just something optional, the developers don't really force it on the players but it can add depth to the story if players are searching for that.

The Witcher 2 does seem really interesting though, I don't know too much about it but have read/heard a lot of good things about the game.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

yeah the Dremora are fun to conjure. Now that I have enchanted some gear I can conjure help for free so I can now do the Thrall's and they are alot of fun as well.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Witcher has an underdog history that the IWC will love. Made by indie developer in Poland, etc, etc. Love Elder Scrolls, but that game, series, is on another level. Witcher games are based on a pretty dark book series. @Croft, boobs is just to show that the game is directed at a mature audience. None of the sex scenes are cheap, well, maybe a few . It's pretty dark though. I was legit provoked, disturbed, overjoyed at many moments. Skyrim didn't really elicit much response from me emotionally. Combat is fun as hell.
Anyway, this thread is about Skyrim.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

i feel like such a loser. LC is becoming a Skyrim expert. couple days ago ur at 85 now you have the Thrall spells. i need to ditch AC revelations, Infamous, Warhammer and go back to Skyrim. How awesome is it to have a thrall. I wanna do the Dark Brotherhood quest and use Dead Thrall on Astrids hubby so then id have a permanent werewolf companion lol.

Has anyone ever raised someone back and besides the moaning and groaning have them say something like plz kill me or something like that. I remember doing the finishing up the Hoods quest and revived the Shadowscale when everyone was dead and i swear he said plz kill me or something.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Transmute right? i basically never use those thralls.

ive gotten the thrall spells before. in my first playthrough i did but i was so stupid cuz i put perks points into everything and never focused on one things so i was never ever able to use them cuz i never had enough magicka and my enchantment wasnt close to high enough. i wanna get the Thrall spells bad though. Have you tried using Dead thrall on a Dragur Deathlord. That'll be like having a fellow dragonborn with you since they shout.

The other day i rounded up all the flawless gems i had and gold ignots and silver ones and just created tons of jewelry, then enchanted them with archery ( cuz thats what sells THEE MOST) i made so much money. I love that it depends on the enchantment to determiene how much it will sell for. Archery on any headpiece sells a ton. im betting dbl enchantments sell for even more.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Yeah Gold isn't an issue for me now... double enchantments sell for alot. Also there's an invisible chest in Dawnstar like to take advantage of. It's where those traveling Cat sellsmen keep their stash haha You get alot of shit you can sell from it... plus you get stuff you might wanna keep like soul gems.

Here's a video showing you where it is. You can keep going back there after a certain amount of time to loot it again...over and over.

As for my gear for conjuration spells costing me zero magicka. I have a Falmer Helmet with Magica incress of 62 points and Conjuration spells cost 25 percent less to cast

Necklace, ring and circlet all with the same thing. It's the 25 percent less to cast part that's great since all it takes is four of those items to make the spells cast for free.

I have the same thing for my Illusion spells only it's 28 percent less to cast and Magicka regenerates 70 percent faster. so yeah it costs me nothing to do those spells.

I haven't enchanted anything like that for destruction spells yet since I don't use them much. So yeah, I have Archer gear Conjuration gear and Illusion gear.

Oh yeah I also have a set of lock picking gear and pick pocket gear....
