Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
For my house I prefer Proudspire in Solitude just as it has both the enchanting and alchemy, Riften takes forever to be able to buy, plus the smithing is not too far from the house, if your alchemy is high enough you can make fortify smithing of 126%, I use a daedric bow & mace and both are both well over 125 damage, with 100 one-handed only takes like 4 hits to kill a dragon

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
I always saw the value in Smithing/Enchantment skill trees so I always have thrown a few points into there. And yeah the Blacksmith's draught potions are a godsend.
Dammit I want to play this game again, but last time I tried it kept freezing. need to go get an XBox copy when I get paid next.

Actually I perfer Riften (Honyeside) to all others. You have an Enchanting and Alchey lab in your basement. Also, the Smithing is right around the corner from the front door of the house. Not to mention the sweet view, and being on the water front. That's some prime real estate! lol

You have to do the Skooma mission for the Jarl. After you complete that, if you've done other random side missions in the city for people, the Jarl will offer to make you Thane. Then you talk to her right hand elf and buy it. Talk to the Jarl again and BLAM you're THANE with the house.

I never bought the house in Markarth or Solitude but yeah Honeyside was my favorite residence as well.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread
Markarth I thought was the nicest looking city, but my game is glitched up and it won't let me buy the house for whatever reason.
