Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

i love the game have logged in about 250 hours on 2 characters. And its on PS3 too, there was a time i was playing where the lag was unbearable. I could play now but i dont know what to do. Do i just travel and search for caves. my first playthrough i was a Werewolf and focused on destruction, conjuration, one hand and bows and in my second i focused on illusion, enchanting, alteration, sneak and bow.

Anyone who is playing or starting a new character try Illusion atleast a little. Its so awesome lol. Whenever im facing bandits i use pacify and it just feels like im a god then. i never felt that way with destruction but calming ppl or having them fight each other is amazing, and also alteration for the paralyze spell.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Illusion & Conjurations are much better magic schools than Destruction. Destruction magic seems really weak in this game to me tbh.

The problem with Destruction is that there is no way to create more powerful custom spells. Despite the fact that you can enchant gear to make Destruction magic cost no magicka, it still falls behind other ways of dealing damage in a huge way. Look at the difference between the DPS of a Master-level Destruction spell, and someone wielding dual Daedric Swords with +One Handed gear.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

i have about 100 in illusion and alteration but wont use any master spells. I learned from my first character master spells arent really needed. Blizzard looks epic but i hate that you have to use 2 hands and the start up isnt all that fast. Id rather stick to my expert status spells. Maybe with the DLC youll be able to mix spells to create all new ones.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Yeah its funny because in Oblivion I thought it was pretty hopeless to go a full Melee route (because I tried) and in this game its the exact opposite.

Go for the Daedric, you can smith the shit out of it, much much higher armor grade, plus if you have the Steed Stone activated you have no weight to your armor, my armor has a 254 rating w/no wieght bearing, so I can carry just about a weight of 690 the thing is you need a daedric heart for each piece of armor and weapon, there are a few places where they respawn ev 30 in game days, the master bedroom in The companions house, plus you can buy two at a time in Windhelm?

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Discussion Thread

Where is the best place to buy a house where i can add both an alchemy lab and an enchantment lab? I currently have a house in Whiterun but I can only add the alchemy lab. I'd like to have both.
