Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Whenever you, me and McQueen get to Caustic Caverns we gotta discover this I was a Dark Souls fan or Solaire mark when Blands 2 came out but now that I am thats a Easter Egg I'd love to see.

I just beat the Asylum Demon which was rather easy this time. I fed all my humanity and leveled up just in case I die in the fight. But now I have an almighty titanite Slab. I have 3 weapons I can use it on. My Uchigatana to get it +15, lightning iaito for +5 or a Crystak Hakberd which is powerful but I rarely use. Im leaning toward Uchigatana since I was killing ghosts with one hit feom it but with 2 from my Iaito. Plus once I get Crystal Magic Weapon it should make it even nore powerful.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

I used my slab on my Uchigatana this playthrough... I have a lightning washing pole at plus 4 but it's not as powerful as my Uchi at plus 15. the Uchi will continue to scale beautifully. But since the Uchi scales and the lightning weapon wont *I don't think* perhaps you should use it on that to make it as powerful as it's going to be.

Also a neat little trick that I've read but haven't tested myself. Maybe Seph can confirm it. But if you want to save souls and you are friends with Frampt you can spend souls to buy dung pies. Now when you sell a dung pie to Frampt you get the exact number of souls you spent buying it. You can keep 99 dung piles on you and you can keep 99 dung pies in your bottomless box. So in theory you can buy up 38 thousand or so worth of dung pies and store/keep them then sell them whenever you want souls.

That way you don't lose those souls when you die. Just something to consider if you don't wanna carry around all those souls.... at least 38 thousand worth

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Yeah ive heard of that Bank type trick. whenever im gonna expect a fight I tend to just level up or just buy shit, im not usually running around with tons of souls and if I ever am its somewhere I know im over powered.

I'll probably go Uchi since I kinda do use it more atm. I just dont know what lightning is effective against for the most part and the no scaling thing sucks. Ive been upping my dexterity alot and it'll only help my Uchi.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Yeah, I wasn't really all that impressed with my lightning Washing Pole. It's not as powerful as my Uchi +15 ... and that's not even counting my Great Magic Weapon buff... it's no where close when I add that.

I'm like you with my souls. I'll level up or buy arrows if I have to spend them.

I already knew about that Easter Egg and found it. You just need a decent amount of health/shields to make it there.

LC, you need to check your private messages ASAP. Its important.

Edit: NM! I PM'd you why.

The Solitaire Easter Egg is pretty cool but hard to get to. I've only done it on THVM.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

For whatever it's worth if you have a divine weapon + 4 the Nito fight is kinda trivial. You can get said weapon by downgrading the occult club you find in Andor Londo to a divine plus 5. then just farm the pole cunts where Patches kicks you off in the tomb of giants to get enough (nine) to upgrade to a plus 4 and you're set. If you kill the opening skeletons in the fight Nito is a piece of cake.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

yeah Pinwheel is the easiest boss in the game. Which is a learning tool. Your next regular playthrough you'll know you can go to him early, kill the bitch then get the fuck out and you can then kindle your estus to 20 VERY early in the game.

It was harder getting there. Finding those Pyro Skeletons to stop the others from respawning was a right ballache.
