If I leave a Covenant and join another one do I lose my previous rank. I'd wanna join Kaathes but don't wanna lose my Rank 2 as a Chaos Servant.

I'm only about 22 hours in and I feel like I'm close to beating it. I don't know if I wanna head into the Painted World, I forget if there's anything I would want there. I picked up like 3 Dark Hands from the guys, they are fist type weapons? I've never seen those type so has anyone ever tried them. It looks like it does a lot of damage, also picked up the composite bow and its already better than any bow I've ever gotten.

Yes you lose your rank so it's probably not worth it.

If you put the dark hand in your left hand it's that black shield they use which looks awesome and is fantastic against magic. If you put it in the right hand it's a weapon and you can drain humanity with it in PvP.

It's amazing how fast you can go through the game, even with farming, when you know exactly what to do and where to go.

Awesome now Frampt won't talk to me lol. And I just found out you can feed him 3 titanite chunks and get a Slab. Does anyone know how to get slabs besides farming Darkwaith or fighting the Stray Demon. Need to get this Lightning Iaito to +5.

You got that backwards. If you feed Frampt a slab you get two chunks (absolutely not worth it at all). If you feed him chunks you get three large shards.

I just farm dark wraiths for the slabs.

You also get a Slab as a reward for finishing Seig of Catarina's questline.

Here's how you do that in spoiler form

Spoiler for OnionBro:

1 - You have to save him in Sen's Fortress by turning the boulder guide so he can escape.

2 - you save him in Anor Londo where he's trapped in a room before some Silver Knights

3 - You save him down in Blighttown by giving him a purple blossom to help with the poison

4 - You save his daughter by killing a gold gollum in Duke's Archives in the outside part where all the blue crystal gollums are. then go back to firelink shrine and talk to her there.

*you might have to do 4 before 3 but I think that's in the right order*

5 - You save him close to where you fight Bed of Chaos. You fall down into the floor that collapses. He's down there and offers you a chance to escape while he fights the monsters. Now you can let him die and save you which is what he wants, but to continue it you save him yet again by helping him kill the monsters. Go back to Firelink and talk to her again

6 - you go down into Ash Lake where he is reunited with his daughter and I wont spoil it any further. There's where you'd get your Slab

Wondering if I should use my souls for leveling up or upgrading armies and weapons. I tested out Richards Rapier(think that's the name) and it seems pretty good since it has dbl attack motions.

Not sure what souls you can use on that to make it a boss weapon... I think all it has to be is a +10 to do that however. I think the Uchigatana +14 is better anyway. If you want a fire weapon just buy some charcoal resin to put on it.

Charcoal Resins suck imo, everytime I've used one I've been left unimpressed. I even bought 6 for facing the 4 kings and my Magic Weapons and Lighting Iaito were much better. Lightning seems the way to go, haven't tried the poison resin so maybe it's useful. That's why I won't probably make a fire weapon since they only seem useful against the blobs in the depths and those guard things around the statue at the Painted

Fire is also good against the swollen enemies in the Painted World...the ones they spit out that toxin when you kill them. If you kill them with a fire weapon the toxin isn't spit out. But yeah I'm not impressed with fire weapons.

The elemental weapons used to be alot better before they were nerfed in one of the patches.

Plus once you turn a weapon into a fire weapon/lightning/magic and so on it no longer scales with dex/strength and takes all of that scaling away from it. That's why I like a regular plus 14/15 weapon with temp buffs... that keeps the scaling intact.

On my way to save Solaire, ive already beat Ceasless so one boss down and a couple more to go. Something ive found love for is archery not it being a main point in combat but I see a Taurus Demon or Capra far away and I could snipe them without taking any risks but whats even more awesome are these poison arrows I bought. I wish I had bought hundreds now because waiting and watching the numbers go up is awesome. Wish the more poison arrows used the more damage they get though.

Hopefully I do everything right. Should be simple just kill the chaos bugs before heading to the bed of chaos.

Edit: so used the shortcut got the sunlight maggot helm then went on to face Bed of Chaos. Would have beat it the first time since I only had the middle left but it swept me off, would have beat it a 2nd time but swept me off as I jumoed and 3rd time was a charm. It helped that I found that bonfire behind an illusory wall close by. Went back to the chaos bug spot and my buddy was there
