Pre-Patch Dark Souls = Unprotected sex with Scarlett Johansson
Post-Patch Dark Souls = Unprotected anal rape from Gary Busey
You tell me which one sounds more amazing

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
the game had to be so easy before the patches... I can't imagine being a tank and being able to use the wood grain ring. That would have been so ridiculous... and iron flesh? wow. I'm glad it was patched. Give me Gary Busey.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
So Dark Souls was actually easy before wow. Game really isnt that hard once your used to everything. Ive killed most bosses so far without dying. Though I wish someone in this world has a pre patched Dark Souls that I could buy lol.
I spent the better part of yesterday practicing parrying. Just for whenever im facing certain Knights, im pretty good at backstabbing ATM though. Im not completely light because I havent really found armor I like. Is there any specific armor that would suit me for the character im going with.

When I fought him for the first time a few weeks ago he was probably one of the easiest bosses I had faced in the game. Not once did he hit me, or get close to me. Always got him to hit the ground with his spikes so I could get a few attacks on his head. Simple really.
Alot of the time I would hardly use a chest piece for my armour. I was always wanting to roll quickly out of the way so didn't put too much on. When I had that Wood Grain ring, so I could do the flip move, I would mainly use the Gold-Hemmed Black set. It also looked pretty sweet whilst holding the Halberd.

It was super fun being OP.
I'm pretty sure all copies are pre-patch, but when you start it the first time it makes you update.

Yea, once I learned it's attack patterns, it was pish. Didnt hit me once and I got the weapon.
I'm trying to hold off going to Blighttown, because I remember my last venture there way back when wasnt too pleasant. I've beaten the Hydra, Havel and an Undead Dragon to get my trusty Dragon Crest Shield so I can fight the Wyvern on the bridge.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
Blighttown isn't so bad if you know where the toxic dart guys are. And even if you don't just have 6-7 toxic cures on you and you'll be fine. Once you kill a toxic dart guy he doesn't respawn. So if you get toxic just go right for him, kill him and cure yourself. It's pretty simple really. And poison isn't a problem at all since it takes so long for it to do any real damage.
Soup, I love the ninja gear you find in Blighttown for my a dex character. It has great toxic/poison/curse prevention and it looks bad ass.
With my current character I actually have a little poise while being light. I have Hollow Soldier Armor +10, Knight Gauntlets +10 Hollow Soldier Waistcloth +9 and Thiefs Mask +9... That gives me 25 poise but when I add the Wolf Ring I get 65 poise and that's almost a tank for my play style. When I wear Havels ring I can fast roll so it's all good.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
This save is the first time I've experienced button delay and it got me killed by the first butcher in the depths . Sad thing is I've decided not to even bother with the depths this playthrough (for now anyway) and just get the large ember to upgrade my Uchigatana.

Yeah button delay sucks. It doesn't happen often though thank the dark lords. At least it doesn't on my 360 version.
