There are different dragon type weapons you can use those scales on. You get alot of scales if you go down to the Lake place... can't think of the name off the top of my head. But you get there from Blighttown. You chop that dragons tail off for another weapon. I'm sure you can use those scales for that as well.

lol I just play the game alot.

Yeah I didnt go around there my first playthrough. Heard there is a Hydra sround there too, just didnt feel like falling down branches. Might try it though since I think thats the place you can join a covenant.

So Seph to save my buddy Solaire I'll have to get rank 2 in the Chaos Covenant and kill the Chaos bug that gives you the Sunlight Maggot Helm before going to defeat the Bed of Chaos? He's probably the only NPC I care about atm. Has anyone finished everyones sidequest or whatever they are.

I've done Ziegmier's *or however you spell the name* side quest all the way through. Quite sad. I've also done Big Hat Logan's. I haven't done Sunbro's though... I really wanna do that one.

Once you donate all of the humanity to the spider woman it'll open up a special shortcut for you which allows you to save Solaire.

And yeah down in Ash Lake you can join the Dragon Covenant. It would be pretty cool I reckon. I never go down to Ash Lake until I can warp back out though. Fuck trying to get out any other way lol

I explained it earlier. Basically open the door but DO NOT ENTER LOST IZALITH. Kill ALL 9 bugs, do Lost Iazalith the normal way and then prepare to break a bro's heart.

^ You can actually get away with only killing the bug which doesn't respawn (the one which drops the sunlight maggot basically). Minor detail but saves you running around trying catch them them worrying if you got them all.

Recently went over to my friends house and got a shot his DS to defeat the Four Kings for him. He's basically a tank with pyromancy and I have to say it looks so much easier than my dex build. I got pissed off when he just stood trading blows with the Sanctuary Guardian like it was nothing whereas 2-3 hits and I was a goner. May have a go at the iron flesh tank next playthrough. Either that or dex/int dex/pyromancy.

Edit: Coming back in to this thread has made me want to start another game. Any ideas for a build? Basically I'm looking for a similar build to last time (dex build) but I'd like to add either pyromancy or magic and I'd like to not have to chip away at enemies healths. I'd also like to parry so I'm thinking about using the parrying dagger or something similar and only using a shield when I have to (the snipers in Blightown come to mind).

Both my builds so far have been a tank and a dex build and I've yet to use any magic or pyromancy other than the first heal spell you get so I don't really know much about it.

The only magic I use on my dex builds is Magic Weapon, Great Magic Weapon and Crystal Magic Weapon. I have messed around with the heel spell which certainly helps alot but once I started going down to kill Pinwheel early on I've not had to use heel when I have 20 estus flasks.

I also dabbled around a little with Hidden Body and I use Cast Light down in Tomb of Gods... and of course Power Within.

I found this video pretty funny.

I'm guessing this was before the patch yeah?

would actually love to see video before the patch. I was tempted to use Iron Flesh before but it just didnt seem useful to me kinda like Power Within. But I'll try using them this playthrough since I'll be considerably weaker.

Im a much better backstabber right now

Would it be viable to use a Dex-Pyro build but also use magic such as MW and CMW? Since pyromancy goes by you're flame rather than stats. The reason I ask is I may actually go online with this build (translation: I'll get my arse kicked a couple of times and then quit) so I wan't to get this one right.

Shows how deep this game is when I've finished both this and Demon's twice and I haven't even dabbled in magic.

I've never played online so I don't know how viable that type of character would be in PvP. It's challenging in PvE if you use light armor that has no poise. You'll learn how to dodge all the attacks for sure But I usually have the Wolf Ring which gives you 40 Poise so that helps.

I love MW, GMW and CMW. CMW gives your weapon a huge boost. With my Uchigatana +15 and Crystal Magic Weapon I killed the Dragon Bridge Dragon in like three swings... so it's pretty powerful for a katana. Sure there are other weapons that are alot stronger, but I can swing my katana 5 or 6 times before someone else can swing one of those huge weapons twice. So it works if you know how to use it.

I've seen really powerful Pyro builds, so I think it should work out for you, especially in PvE... I can't speak on how good it would be online though.
