Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

You can farm titanite chunks from the Dark Wraiths. If you have on the gold serpent ring and at least one soft humanity the farming will go easy. There are 11 dark wraiths you can farm on each run. Also you get a chance to get a very rare titanite slab while farming them.

With that ring and the soft humanity I got 47 chunks in about an hour. Plus you get around 12 thousand souls each run for killing the Dark Wraiths... but a tip is aggro them one at a time. They are easy to back stab if you do that but if more than one attacks you it's tough.

Soup, if you tell him you aren't a cleric he'll still kick you off the cliff but he wont attack you lol. Once you make it back up he'll apologize. I can't help but kill him for the backstab anyway lol

The first time I saw him, and spoke to him, I killed him. He just wouldn't move out of the way when he was near the controls for the bridge. So I attacked him, and killed him easily.

He wasn't at the bridge when I went through that area... it's funny to note that if he is there and you flip the bridge over to run across it he will flip it back on you while you're crossing it to make you fall...what a douche hehe

Yeah, that's another reason I did it. I just knew he would do something like that.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

After learning some things I think next playthrough im gonna be a servant of Chaos. Feeding Quelaags sis humanity should be easy to rank up in the covenant so I could help my Sun buddy. When I played I was foolish, there were times I had tons of twin humanity and humanity but I'd waste them and use em for healing because at that point I didnt really comprehend how Humanity works.

Also one question, I plan on going really light next time because I was a tank my first time. what kind of weapon should I use, I could remember getting the Uchigatana and loving how it looked and got it to +10 but it was so much weaker than my Black Knights Sword so I rarely used it. Plus do weapons weigh you down at all or is it just armor and Shields.

I still hate that once you beat the game you cant roam. next time I'll hold off the final fight and do everything I planned to do.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

I suggest you go with any of the katana's. The washing board is long as fuck but it weighs 10 pounds and costs 20,000 souls. So yeah, weapons do have weights.

I like the Uchigatana. It's probably favorite. You can also farm for a balder side sword. Those are pretty good for light weight users. Of course you can get the Iaito which is the third Katana at the top of Blighttown on the Depths side.

Here's a cool lore video series... I HIGHLY recommend it. Great stuff.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Yup watched a couple of them already, someone gave me that playlist last night . The Solaire one and Artorias ones are my favorites. I always loved games like Fallout 3 and Skyrim where you could find books and learn about the world. glad theres videos for Dark Souls.

Playing alittle right now and just used Gwyn's soul and got the Sunlight Spear was going to get the Greatsword you can mske but read it doesnt look anything like the sword Gwyn was using and doesnt even do fire damage so no go. Has anyone been a Warrior of Sunlight and gotten the lightning spear miracle. I absolutely love it

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

If you're doing NG+, there is no way to finish Solaire's sidequest. He will NEVER show up where he would normally go hollow.

Also, Lightning Iaito is your best bet.
