Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Okay done with my second playthrough... gonna start the third one now. I'm not really interested in new game plus as it's basically a boss run. I like developing my character. that's the most fun for me. I think I'll go with a more armored character this time. A gladiator type I reckon.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Fucking getting to Seath the Scaleless was much harder than the actual boss. I died over and over just trying to get to him and when I finally do my Great Lightning Spear and BKS make quick work of him. in a game as hard as this what have been some of the most satisfying fights for you guys.

For me it was fighting the Dragonslayer and Excutioner only because I kept dying and dying and was on my last humanity. So my last try I went online and summoned 2 ppl to help. I then got invaded and the 3 of us slaughter the poor guy trying to invade my world. Then the boss fight was easy and I finally got through them. I was fist pumping like Tiger Woods after that win lol and had to send the 2 guys messages thsnking them for the help. Probably my greatest gaming experience.

Fighting Priscilla was also great because she was kicking my ass the first couple times till I figured her out.

Smough and Dragon Slayer for me as well. I fucking LOVE that fight. I have never felt more accomplished than I did when I finally beat those two bastards. I was practically dancing around in my bedroom.. lol but I do that for most of the boss battles... I'm a dork like that.

I've gotta agree with Smough and Ornstein, those guys were bastards and I was so pumped up after beating them. Then you get the fast travel just after that too, good times. Four Kings were crazy too, that was one where I was just relieved after killing them!

My favourite boss has to be the giant Wolf with the sword, he wasn't difficult but the whole atmosphere of the fight was amazing.

Easiest boss (he's kinda a boss) has to be the giant rat, I just stood on a ledge above him and threw fireballs at him until he died. Poor guy couldn't touch me.

The best thing after beat Smough and Ornstein is that you celebrate as fuck and out of the blue you go see those huge pair of tits in a chamber with epic music xD

Undertaker is a selfish, arrogant, broken down old has been who can't give it up, who doesn't give one shit about the next generation of stars and helping the company that made him thrive. It's always all about him.

And it was a site to behold. The best reward ever... Just beautiful!

Anyways, haven't played this for a few days, but hopefully I'll be able to defeat the Four Kings tonight. Then maybe finish the game by the end of the weekend.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

I JUST BEAT DARK SOULS

What a gaming experience for sure. I feel like ive accomplished something lol, like when I do have kids I can say I beat Dark Souls and all it took was 67 hours im gonna have to watch this walkthrough on YouTube I keep hearing about. This guy beating the game in 35 minutes.

I thought I hated Blighttown until Crystal Cave last night, toughest area in terms of geography not enemies. who knew saving Seath for last was going to be a bad decision. also if I knew you wouldnt be able to roam acter beating the game I would have held off to join covenants to get the achievements.

CONGRATS SOUP!

I think my first playthrough lasted 56 hours... the second one was in the 40 hour range. It goes by quicker when you know what to do and where to go.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

I wonder how my next playthrough will go when I play again. I kinda feel I was lucky getting the Black Knight Sword really early. Playing as a lightweight would be very different though so might give that a try. Kinda dont feel like playing NG+
