The way I did it was just attack it head on with my Helberd, but it will attack you with it's legs so watch out. You could also just run straight past it and grab the spell... But I think there's a tunnel that leads down to it's mouth, I didn't go that way so not sure if it will attack or not.

There's a few ways to kill it. I just always shoot it with a bow from range. You can also work your way around to the back of it and it's helpless against you. You can also fight it straight up but that's dangerous.
Power Within is awesome and I use it on every boss. 40 percent damage increase is just too hard to pass up.

You get that option when you kill Pinwheel. You can do it really early if you want. There's a certain short cut you can take and once you get to the boss he's really easy. He's start of the game easy if you're feelin' me. Getting to him is the hard part unless you use the short cut. Here it is.

Once you beat the boss just homeward bone out and bam... rekindle so you can get 20 flasks.

Defeated Dark Sun Gwyndolin today, was alittle tough until you figure out his attack patterns. And I also defeated all the bosses in the Demon Ruins/Lost Izalith, I should killed the Bed of Chaos sooner but I got careless and stupid lol.

I saw Solaire at a bonfire and reading the wiki it says I should have went to the shortcut before going to face the Bed of Chaos. I couodnt access the shorcut anyone since im not in Chaos covenant. So im gonna give up on the sunlight helmet since theres prob no way now
What should I do next? go after Nito or is there something else.

You still get the Sunlight Maggot, Soup. Just defeat the Titanite Demon that's close to the Bed of Chaos fog and do what you have to do next *I wont spoil anything* and then you kill these little bug things and one of them has the Sunlight Maggot. Anyone can do it. You don't have to have the short cut.
The shortcut is for something else... don't read the spoiler if you don't wanna know.
Spoiler for Shortcut:
You have to fight Solaire who has lost his mind... then you kill the bugs and get the Sunlight Maggot. But if you are a member of the Chaos thing you can get a short cut which allows you to actually save Solaire and use him in the final boss fight. I haven't done that yet since you have to give up 30 humanity to do that... I like my humanity
