Have to agree with you there. Not sure if they are my least fave but they annoyed the shit out of my DEX build. When I first played the game when you could load up on heavy armour and still move about freely I wondered what all the fuss was about. Dunno why but they don't feel very Dark Soul-ish either to me.

Scratch that, I remember now. My least fave are the Skellie Dogs. I fucking despise them. Running by enemies has never been by thing either unless I'm on my 5th boss attempt (I also tried doing it once and the fucking thing jumped down to the next level and landed on my head)

The Painted World has to be one of the most misleading levels ever. Both because it looks much prettier than most levels in DS and because of the way people tell you to 'just go visit the Painted World there's neat items' as if it's as easy as that. The first time I went there I had absolute hell trying to get back out. That place is just out to get you.

The best part about the Painted World is you don't even have to fight the boss. lol She even tells you you can leave. I'm big time into the lore of the game and I love that level for it. I never fight her. She's fairly simple from what I've seen though.

You can literally get from the start of the level to the boss in about two minutes if you know the short cuts... and since you don't have to fight the boss you can just jet out of there if you don't like it. But I love to explore every level. The only level I rushed in my first playthrough was Blighttown because I hated it so much. I explored every inch of that place this time though.

Here's a tip with the Painted World. After you beat the dragon you can run across the bridge to his lower half and attack it with a strong power jump attack and the body stands up and you can get under it without having to work your way down and unlock the door. Just a little tip to help those that wanna get out of the level quicker.

EDIT: Also I'm pretty sure you can warp from the bonfire in the Painted World as long as you have the lord vessel

I've made Anor Londo my bitch, however Ostrich and Smough may make me their's, pray for me guys...oh wait, just wish me luck instead. That might actually do something

I absolutely LOVE Anor Londo. It's so damn hard plus for me it's a great place for me to practice parrying against the Silver Knights for as long as I want. There's this one Silver knight outside of the door from the bonfire once you get past the archers. He's under the spiral staircase. I successfully parried him 37 consecutive times. I'm not saying that to brag but if you can parry him then you can parry the final boss. That boss gave me fits in my first playthrough and now I know where to practice that parry and I have it down.

The best way to practice is to parry and not repost. Just keep parrying and parrying and parrying.

Of course parrying isn't the only way to take the final boss down but with zero poise it's my best option. I'm quick and I might try the dodge and counter tactic this time...we'll see.

I love the Smough and Dragon Slayer fight. It's my favorite.

Honestly, A. Londo is the second best place for farming souls next to Darkroot. One Silver Knight gives you 900 souls, I got like 50,000 in less than an hour after farming one of them near the second bonfire.

Yeah I like to farm Anor Londo. At the main bonfire there are 6 of those giant knights or whatever they are. 1500 souls a piece and they are easily dealt with as long as you aggro one at at time. 9 thousand souls in a few minutes without having to cheese anything. I like taking them on two handed and shieldless. It gives me practice dodging. It's alot of fun for me anyway.

Before the patches, I would farm before 4 Kings area

Yeah New Londo is great for farming. Not only do you get to kill 11 Dark Wraiths for 1200 souls each you also get possible Titanite Chunk drops and very rare Titanite Slab drops. I absolutely love farming there. I'll farm that place until I get at least 36 Titanite Chunks. And the souls you get by farming that long go a long way.
