During that challenge I did alot of damage, the bandit knife wasnt bad at all, especially since it was at +15.
The rapier does minimal damage to most mobs, from what I understand its basicly the dagger of ds2 with the high crit damage but some fancier moves.
Look at it this way,if the weapon durability was from ds2 I think the thing would break before the fight would end.
The damage is just none-existent.
I did a lot of damage with the bandit knife too, it's just when I got to O and S it just wasn't enough. Died over and over until I ditched the bleed method and just owned them with my short sword. And that video 3 the feels man, the feels. Just reminding me of all those discussions and moments.
I'm gonna have to play Dark Souls again sometime, the game is easier than Dark Souls 2, atleast for me it is. But I miss Black Iron Tarkus, Solaire and Onionbro. The NPCs in 2 can't match up to them. Only The Wheelin Dealin Gavlan.
Should try some Lobos Jr.-inspired runs. Like a run of the weapon swap mod where your right hand weapon changes every seven seconds to a random weapon in the game. Or the mimic helmet no self-heal run.
Oh and the weapon swap mod saw a video of it a while ago and it's scary but looks like a blast. I'd love to be able to try it out, imagine me being in a tricky spot and getting my ass beat but then the Uchigatana or Sunlight Sword are what comes up
